Used once. Scratches easily with knives while cutting food. My guests feel bad that I spent so much money on disposable plates. I can not and will not serve anybody on scratched up dinner ware

Overall these are attractive plates. They give a classy appearance with the gold trim and the dots throughout the plate. The arrive very well packed. They call them dinner plates, but they're a bit more like salad plates. I have two concerns about them. First, they're advertised as dishwasher safe and microwave safe. However, there's no information on the bottom of the plate so you have to trust the sellers advertising. Second, the painting on the plates is a bit sloppy. As I looked at the individual plates I noticed that the gold paint on the outer edge is done rather poorly. When I examined the paint I saw that the painting is not evenly done. In particular the bottom of the plate shows very obvious poor painting. It doesn't affect the utility of the plate, but it's a disappointment for what is otherwise a good looking set of plates.

My first impression was of how well these plates were packaged. They are well protected in a spongy foam, rather than styrofoam. The finish of the plates is awesome. They are glazed midway between matte and glossy. The darker edged rim is it perfect complement to the vanilla white color. As for size, I would describe an 8 inch Play as a salad for dessert plate, rather than a dinner plate. I wouldn't hesitate for a second to buy these, but be sure that you decide that this is the right size - maybe even draw an 8 inch circle on a piece of paper to visualize the size. I like these so much that I may decide upon the 10 inch plates as well. Highly recommended.

Gorgeous porcelain dinner plates. These plates stack very easily and compactly. They felt very sturdy and strong in the hand and should easily last years. The finish both looks and feels great in the hand when using them. They are not the normal glossy enamel porcelain as they have a matte finish, but it feels silky smooth in the hands. They are also very easy to clean. The coloring is perfect and should go with any other dining set. These are very nice and I highly recommend them.

These plates feel well-constructed and smoothly finished. They are heavy enough to feel sturdy in hand and are a good size for day-to-day use. There is only one caveat - the bottom of the plates have no warnings concerning the use of a dishwasher, so I feel that we will have to try it out and see how it goes. Otherwise, I'm really happy with my purchase and would look for other sizes of the same design to make matching sets. Especially, because the simplicity in the white/speckled appearance with copper/tan colored rim will match a lot of stuff. Finally, they packed these super well - no chips or cracks and they were highly insulated in the box.

I was somewhat disappointed with these plates. I expected them to be the same size as my other dinner plates however they were closer in size to a dessert plate. They remind me of plates that are used at a buffet restaurant. They do seem sturdy, but they are very plain.
