First, the bad:1. The instructions are useless. However, there are videos and websites that do a fantastic job of detailing the entire build, making it easy for first time builders.2. It seems like they sometimes swap out slightly different capacitors (probably depending on availability) this isn't abnormal for cheaper pedals or any kind of kit in general, but it's worth noting that you may have to do a little bit of research to figure out what the markings on the board mean and which capacitors go on them if yours don't match the ones that the people on the build guides received.The good:1. This pedal sounds great. The knobs don't make any noise, the enclosure is stout, everything about the pedal felt very high quality2. Since you're the one building it, it is very easy to mod. The first thing I did after trying it and hearing how little gain the gain pot had (it'll get you into 70s rock tones stock), was to ditch one of the resistors before the gain pot, jumper it, and put it on a switch. For someone like me who has always wanted to get into pedal modding, this is such a great way to start.Overall: I'm very happy with this kit and the experience I've had with it so far. The quality feels fantastic, and at no point during the build did I feel lost or frustrated. It took about 4 hours to get it put together for me and I have a good bit of PCB soldering experience from arduinos. I don't see this taking any normal person more than 4-6 hours. I soldered each component one by one, but more experienced people can load up several components and solder them all in one pass, which makes it much faster.

Fun little project, very useful pedal. Haven't A/B it with a Klon but sounds great to me.

Great value for money. The PCB is high quality. Easy to work with.The wiring diagram wasn't clear but it's easy to find a clear one with the help of Google.There are great tutorials on YouTube too - so whenever I wanted to be sure that I'm not about to havea mistake I watched someone else assembling this kit successfully.All in all it works and sounds excellent.

This was my second Klon Clone build. Went together easily and sounds great. I'm going to be purchasing a other one as my dad played it and loved it as well.

If you can bear with the lack of instructions and mislabeled PCB this thing sounds amazing. Search YouTube for instructions and watch out for the mislabel on the pcb.
