Good Blind for price
I ordered these blinds as well as the "Bali" brand blinds to compare. Both are the same price for the size I needed and since they are going in my garage, I figured it would be a good chance to test out both. The Achim Brand is better in nearly every way. Light filtering is higher , The gear mechanism is metal vs plastic on other brands , the pull is smoother , the angle adjustment turns easier. The only downside is I prefer the traditional mounting design of the Bali blind. The Achim blind uses two clear plastic clips that you flex into position. It is very sturdy but I prefer the older design. After testing both brands I bought 3 more of the Achim blinds. In picture, Achim is on the left and Bali brand is on the right. Difference in light filtering is obvious.

Things you really need to know!! Read this.
First things first - if you buy these, do yourself a favor and throw away the instructions before you start. Not only are the instructions useless, they give information that will hinder your progress (example: "install the brackets 7 inches in from the ends of the blinds". If you do that, you will be unable to mount the blinds as the inner mechanisms will be in the way). So... once you've removed the brackets and placed them in a location that could work (maybe 1.5 inches from each end) you will find that the blinds don't actually fit in the plastic brackets. I mean, not even close. When you try forcing them, you risk breaking them. [Alas... somewhere , men in suits sat around a board room looking at the cheap brackets they just received from their supplier in China. "But Bob, the blinds don't fit in these". The room went quiet for a minute deciding what to do. Someone finally said "Ahhh, screw it. Ship 'em!"]. And there you have it. The blinds themselves (putting the bracket issue aside and that's a BIG issue) are exactly what you expect for $10. Just ok. I forced the plastic and got them to stay up (for now). I suspect they will fall at some point. On the fence about returning them since they were only $10 and getting them down will be a hassle. We'll see.

CHANGE THE CLIPS!!!
What should have been a quick job dragged out over one night off work til the next day after I got off work because of the way these mount. And might I add was installed on a door which should have been faster. You have to measure perfect and make sure before hand you line the clips up so they won't interfere with any of the mechanisms inside the blind. I moved the clips multiple times due to this. Once you have everything perfect you force the blinds into the clips that are very unforgiving. I think they will break if I ever try to remove them. One side did not clip on. I felt as if I was breaking my door pushing so hard. I tried to lift the latch on the clip didn't move it in fact bent the back of the blind. I ended up grabbing a flat head and a hammer to force it behind the latch. I was so frustrated by this I will return the other two I purchased. I can't deal with the clip design.

Blind seems fine, installation is odd.
The blind looks and works fine. The installation left a lot to be desired.First of all, the top bar, where the mechanism is, is a different profile shape (rectangular and rounded) than all the other blinds I've bought (square). So I had to remove the old mounting brackets and install special clips for this one. It's never fun to work with these little parts while reaching up to the top of a window. I'd have paid more for a square one that fit into the existing brackets, had I known.Second, the instructions are flat-out wrong. They say to measure 7" in from the sides to place the brackets. After practicing some yoga moves to get the tiny screws into the tiny clips at the "right" locations, it turns out the internal mechanism of the blind blocks the ability to click it into the clip. I had to remove the clips and go through the whole procedure again in a different spot. By then the cheap little screws were almost stripped out and I had to drill pilot holes. The whole thing turned into much more of a project than necessary. But now that you know to disregard the instructions, and if you don't already have existing brackets, these will be fine.

Slats are too tired to stay horizontal
It took 5 days to arrive although it's supposed to be a two day Prime item.Once we say how long, we tried to cancel before it was shipped and they refused the cancellation. The blind is 27" wide. We were hoping to upgrade from the $4.50 big box blinds on our full light doors.Unless we just got a defective model, this blind is a downgrade because the slats are too thin to hold level. The slats droop on the sides despite having three support strings versus two on the cheaper blinds. The pic shows the Sundown blind on the right with the drooping slats. The blind on the right slats are level and that blind cost half as much.

Really pleased with these
Easy installation. Blocks light well and the slats turn smoothly. I'm a huge fan of the cordless construction, as corded blinds at this price point can often get snarled up and stuck. For those who have babies or animals, cordless is also safer. One protip: Once you have drilled the pilot holes for the screws, put the screws in and back them out again before you install the hooks. It makes attaching the hooks to the window frame much easier.

This is not a standard design and the blinds will not fit into standard brackets
Brackets are not standard and cannot be installed at the sides.Blinds don't fit standard brackets so the customer is stuck with a completely new installation. The latter should have been shown under product information. Individual boxes are stapled shut and difficult to open. Instructions are incomprehensible

Disappointed
Update - 9-3-19 Cannot believe Amazon is recommending as an Amazon Choice!!! I have attached pictures (side view, could not get the pix to go upright). I do not touch them at all. They are all bent and crooked, just from hanging. Terrible quality. I have had cheaper blinds hanging in a cottage for over 15 years that look better than these after 5 months. These are not as sturdy as I expected. They bent easily and I can not straighten them. For the price, I thought they would be sturdier. I hung them in my bathroom window, to block sunlight so it's not like they get tossed around or used much. Unless using them in a spot that cannot be seen, I would not recommend. Sorry.

I like this product....
I did have trouble with installing the brackets on the inside of my bathroom window. However,I attribute that to the window itself. It looks good and I am happy with the outcome.
