My Poodle Shitzu dog Betty (That's her in the picture, but she went to heaven at19 years old a few years ago) was very frightened by thunder and lightning and would shiver and cry and cling to me and my wife when those happened. We tried three or four other things over the years and nothing helped until I discovered Licks. Next time thunder and lightning was coming on I'd sploop out a packet of Licks on a plate, she loved the taste and licked it right up. Within a half hour or so after lightning and or thunder started she was 90%.or so better. No more shivering and crying and very calm in her bed or next to us. It worked well whenever bad weather turned up. Really worth a try for your dog too to help calm it from stress.

I have small dogs who are very frightened of thunder and fireworks. I have tried a lot of solution, including the thunder shirts, hemp oil, and pother supplements. This is the only product that works for them. It's not perfect, but it does make them much calmer. This takes about an hour to become effective, so it's helpful if you can give it to your dog before the storm or fireworks are supposed to start. If something catches me by surprise, I will still give it to them, but it is not very effective at first. This is a liquid that smells pretty bad to me, but it seems irresistible to them. Even when they are stressed out and not really eating, I can get them to eat this. I just empty the packet directly into their bowls, and they lick it up. They're always sure to get it all. Sometimes if I am not sure when a storm will start, I just give them each 1/2 packet in advance, then another 1/2 packet once the storm is imminent. For my dogs, a Jack Russell mix and a Chihuahua mix, this is the one thing that truly seems to ease their stress and helps them calm down. I always have it on hand. I highly recommend it.

Works real well, stinks to high heaven. So I have no complaints neither do my dogs. Expensive for what you get, not ment for every day, but once in a while. Will buy again when needed.

This product is amazing. When our dog has an anxiety attack, he will not eat, chew, etc. However, this he will lick and take! It is not fast acting, but he is a large stocky mix like a shepherd. He takes 2. It is easy to use. Just open the packets and place in their bowl. It smells like beef.

This did not work for my dog. Read the details it’s not returnable. I ended up giving packets to other dog owners and they said the same thing did not work.
