Are these the very dark cherries used in cocktails?

The Luxardo Maraschino are definitely the dark cherries that you see in many hand crafted gourmet cocktails. They are delicious and the syrup is very decadent. I haven't opened the Woodford cherries yet. But I have seen them also listed in some high end cocktails.
