American Mahjong (Mah Jong, Mahjongg, Mah-Jongg, Mah Jongg) Set with 166 Tiles, 4 All-in-One Racks with Pushers, Accessories, and Soft Leatherette Case, "Chinoise"

Beautiful pieces. Case is a little too large. Should be more snug. The pushers sometimes fall off the magnets

I choose this set because I loved the look of the tiles online. Plus, we wanted wood racks rather than plastic. When the set arrived my wife and I were thrilled with the quality and look. No tiles were defective. The carrying case is top quality and has heavy duty zipper pulls plus and over the shoulder carry strap it you want to use it. Carry hand on case is very sturdy. Wood racks are very nicely stained and look beautiful. Those who we play Mah Jong with all are impressed with the tiles which are very nicely painted and bright.

I love this Mah Jong set. I ordered different set first that was about $65 and it was very cheap looking. The racks didn’t even open. After playing with my sister’s set, I decided to splurge and get this one. She has the one with pink flowers, and I wanted something different so I chose the beautiful blue set. It came with soft with leather carrying case and cases for the tiles, dice, score pieces. Everything fits perfectly in the case. I would highly recommend over the other sets.

Beautiful mahjong set, but the glue holding these 2-piece tiles together fails after only a few weeks use. The failure continues with other pieces with continued use. BUT, when I talked with Yellow Mountain and explained that I would re-glue my own tiles (but that all these tile failures were being seen weekly by all the 32 women in my group and so were a bad reflection on their products), they offered to send me a complete set of 1-piece tiles. And they did send me a tiles that have no problem (not as pretty as the 2-piece tiles, but very good tiles).

The Chinoise Mahjong set is beautiful and the tiles are quite sturdy. The blue floral pattern is vibrant and they are easy to shuffle for playing the game. It seems like the tiles were "dipped" in acrylic because there is no glue line where the clear part of the tile connects to the floral part. It feels smooth all around. Extra tiles are provided within the packaged tiles so I recommend separating them according to likeness before you play to remove those extras. I didn't do that, ended up with 8 extra tiles after set up, and had to do the match up before starting over.
