The unit comes with multiple washers. If you leave more than one washer in each fitting it will leak. Use only 1 washer in each fitting and it works great. Nothing cheap about the design or overall product. Much easier to turn the values on and off than the older all metal ones I have.

I only have one hose bib at the back of the house but have a large flower and vegetable beds that need to be watered often. I have a 75 ft heavy duty hose that can be dragged to the back borders when necessary. But I didn't want to unwind this one when I needed to water the raised beds and flower borders nearer the home. I purchased this hose splitter so I could add a second, shorter and lighter hose. I've had it now for almost a year and it's worked out really well. I was concerned that the plastic on/off levers would not hold up to almost daily use but they show no obvious wear. Good value for the price.

Appears to be good quality for the price. Although the end fittings are metal, the body is plastic. Time will tell how long it lasts. Was leak-free upon installation.

I love this product. It is very well made with good design. I purchased a metal hose splitter last year from Home Depot. It only lasted one year. One of the splitter connectors couldn’t be screwed off from the hose and got stuck with the hose. A metal bead used for the switch fell off then, the splitter couldn’t be shut off. This one doesn’t seem to have such issue as the whole splitter is covered by plastic/rubber kind coat. The switches provide good grip and are very easy to turn on/off. This splitter also comes with 4 additional washer in case you need it. It is a great consideration for the customers.

My old brass splitter valve broke, so I bought two of these. I installed the first one and a few days later I noticed it was leaking, right where the chromed hose fitting meets the black body of the valve. So I swapped in the other one and within hours, it was also leaking...from the exact same place.I chose this model because of the large valve handles, which are easier to turn than the tiny brass ones on other splitters. Big mistake, they are cheap and junky. I ended up buying another brass one and it's working just fine.
