The best mascara for Old Hollywood lashes
The best mascara. I used to use Lancรดme for years before this. If you want long lashes that look like youโre wearing fake lashes, this can do that! Once you figure out the process of getting your base coat on, applying the silk fibers and then reapplying the mascara, you can control the length of your lashes and if your patient and good at it, they can go really long. You can also make them thicker if that is what you need. This mascara stays put until you wash it off. It washes off with normal face wash and doesnโt require special makeup remover. It comes off clean and doesnโt flake off while youโre wearing it. This is for those of us who love big, long Old Hollywood eyelashes, but donโt want to deal with fake eyelashes. Itโs easy to use, a high quality product comparable with all of the high end brands I have used over the years. What sets it apart are the separate tube of silk fibers that you apply. Learn to apply properly and itโs worth the results.

FAN FOR LIFE!!
First, let me preface by saying that I'm not one for taking the time to write a review. I read them; but I just don't write them. Yes, I know, I'm a hypocrite. But hey, people CAN change you know. So, don't judge. LOL Now let's get down to brass tacks. By that, I'm talking about this phenomenal 2-step 'kit' called 3D Fiber Lash Mascara by Mia Adora which I so eloquently refer to as the grandeur of greatness, the monumental miracle mascara, the cornucopia of cosmetics, the luxuriance of lash enhancements ....you get the idea. Moving onward. A little background on yours truly (YES, it's relevant, be patient.). I'm a 50 y/o woman with blonde hair and blue eyes. Though, I seemed to have been cursed at birth with short & stubby eye lashes. Needless to say, since I began wearing makeup, I've spent a small fortune on just about every brand and/or type of mascara you can think of in order to attain the desired results. Whether it claims to lengthen, magnify, increase volume, etc., I've tried it all. And I don't know about you, but spending on average 20-30 minutes per day just to get that oh-so important desired look gets really old after awhile....even when you're my age (trust me, I need all the help I can get). I've come to learn that even the tiniest sacrifices can be proven the most beneficial, which is why I keep subjecting myself to such pointless torture. Otherwise, one could easily get me confused with a hairless, wet cat. You get the idea. Several years go by, and even more trial & error (actually, more error than trials), I finally decided to give false lashes a try. So, with a little experimentation and a lot of patience gluing those little suckers on, I managed to cut my prep time in half AND I had the look I've been trying to attain since I was first allowed to wear make up. Hallelujah! Happy dance!! Well, wouldn't you know it, just as I'm finally content with everything the way it is, the evil eyelash fairy decided to curse me yet again to where I recently started having some type of allergic reaction to the lash glue. Seriously, like WTF??? I've been using the same brand since the dawn of time. It's not like I'm living life on the edge by experimenting with different glues, quite the contrary. When I find a brand I like, I stick with it. (There's something to be said about loyalty.) Anyway, both of my lids have since gone from being soft & moisturized with the illusion of having long eyelashes of my very own, to being short & stubby again. This isn't fair; I'm now back to being aggravated. What's worse, is that the lash line of my upper lids are now irritated and dry as a result of the glue (still scratching my head over that one since the glue hasn't changed). Not only am I back to looking like a hairless cat again, but because of the scaling (due to the dryness & irritation), I now look like a hairless cat with snake eyes. Lovely. Still with me?? (Lol) Well. fast forward to last week. A coworker and I were critiquing our own imperfections over lunch one day and we somehow ended up talking about this latest craze of 3D lashes and other available options (lash extensions by salon, buying cosmetics through a consultant/MLM, supplements, etc). Don't get me wrong, those options might be suitable for others, just not for me. Personally, going to a salon for a mani/pedi is one thing, going for lash add-ons is another. (I'm old school, remember?) Upon completion of lunch and 'Lash 101', I began researching this 3D lash fiber thing further. It peaked my interest. So, the engineer in me went on a fact finding mission leaving no stone unturned. Whether it was reading reviews, looking up blogs, checking out the Top 10 lists by various industry experts, judging before & after pics, I pretty much exhausted all avenues (well, except for looking to the Greek Gods or summoning the dead for advice. Didn't want to push my luck) Out of all the brands I researched on line, the only one that really had my attention and peaked my curiosity was this one. So, I ordered it. And since I have an Amazon Prime account, I'll get free 2-day shipping. Score! Our mail carrier shows up on Sunday morning with my delivery. I was so excited to get my package, that I didn't even care to put on my robe first prior to greeting USPS at the front door. Rather, I greeted him wearing my lazy Sunday morning ensemble (which consisted of a knee length nightshirt and my fuzzy gorilla slippers (with one slipper missing an eyeball..thanks to my dog). At that moment, I felt like I was reliving Christmas morning from my childhood days, albeit at 50 years old. (I know, I have issues. But hey, priorities.) I hurriedly opened my package, examined the items in the kit itself and made a beeline path to my bathroom vanity where my magnifying mirror was prepped and ready. Let the transformation begin!! Approximately 30 minutes later (and 'ping-ponging' back and forth from one eye to the other), I successfully recreated the results that I was so hoping to attain -which was to recreate the look I had with the false lashes. But, with the 3D fiber lashes mascara on my OWN lashes instead. I'll admit, I'm quite the skeptic when comes to quick fixes, miracle products, promises of change, etc., etc. So, I was apprehensive. The way I see it, if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. However, every once in a while something new & exciting comes along boasting how great they are, why you should buy it, how it will change your life, why you can't live without it, and so on. And, as cynical as I am about things, this product even has ME sold -hook, line and sinker! In fact, I have yet to shut up about this little 2-step wonder (so much that I'm driving my husband crazy over it; guess I better hide the duct tape, haha). I haven't been this excited since I first discovered something called "BB cream". (I told you, I'm old school. Don't judge.). There, now you have it. Mia Adora's 3D Fiber Lash Mascara is the best thing since sliced bread (oh, and BB cream). Even with high expectations of my own, I now consider myself a fan for life. See, I told you....people CAN change. I no longer consider myself a hairless wet cat...AND, I can now say that I've written my first review. You're welcome. Meow. :-) Editor's note: I've attached three photos of myself so you can see for yourself. The first one is my ugly mug without any eye/makeup whatsoever, the second photo shows my own lashes with the 3D fiber lash mascara application, the third is of me with my false lashes on (the look I was trying to attain with the 3D fibers). I think it's safe to say that I nailed it! Thanks for taking the time to read my inaugural review. I hope you found it informative and entertaining.

Recieved damaged product
UPDATE: a mia adora customer service rep replied to my email within hours and they have offered to send me a brand new tube and refund my purchase cost. In eager to see if the new tube is just as great as most of the reviews here imply. Excellent customer service though! SO dissapointed. I recieved this today and I was so excited to get it. Well it was incredibly difficult to remove the wand from the fiber tube (step 2). I finally freed it and the wand was bent and curled in on itself. When it came out I lost a HUGE clump of fibers that ended up on my countertop. I managed to straighten the wand but soon discovered why it was bent in the first place. The fibers are all crammed in the bottom of the tube and it's impossible to get the wand back in without bending it all up. I have shaken and tapped the tube trying to loosen up the fibers and they won't budge. I went ahead and tried to apply the system to my eyelashes per their instructions and I'm not impressed. It just looks like I applied several coats of my good old maybelline soft and full mascara ( love that stuff btw). I'm not sure if I'm not getting optimal results since I can't even get any out of the bottom of the tube or what..... ugh I never spend this much on makeup. Lesson learned!!!! March 2017 update I recieved a replacement product very quickly. After a bit of practice I gotta say I like this product. And have updated my score to 4 stars. I prefer to start with my maybelline full n soft waterproof mascara. Then I use this fiber lash system. I prefer to use only one coat of fibers. I find that it gets too clumpy if I use more than 1 coat. I have average length lashes naturally so this does help give my eyes a nice natural looking pop. I'll probably buy it again!

Great extended lashes
I have been looking for something that is not waterproof, looks real, but are not fake lashes. After one week I ordered more right away so I didnโt run out.

It'll look like you're wearing falsies!
This is my first review ever and I've bought a long list of products from Amazon. I've never been the one to have naturally beautiful, full and long lashes. My lashes are thin and short. For the past few years I've tried many mascaras as well as lash serums in which some I liked and most didn't do much for me. I ordered this Mia Adora 3D Fiber Mascara and have been using it for about 2 months and I was so wowed by the results of it I had to write a review! The magnifying gel had very smooth application and lengthening paid off (I sometimes feel like that was all I need since it alone made my lashes darker and longer without clumps!). The fibers themselves, however, is not as smooth of an application. I usually get some fibers fall out and some get stuck onto my eyelid which I wipe away with a Q-tip. I've noticed some very mild eye irritation throughout the day due to the fibers but it's not unbearable. The fibers make my lashes a lot fuller. I've recommended this mascara to all my friends already since it has made such a difference in my eye lashes when I use it. I only apply this once and it lasts from morning til night when I take my makeup off. This mascara can be clumpy if not applied correctly so I would follow the directions as provided and to not over apply the fibers (I think the fibers are what making my lashes clumpy since I apply a lot on the first few times I've used it). Overall, the mascara lengthens and gives my lashes a fuller appearance. It has long lasting abilities with minimal clumping if applied correctly. I've noticed very little fall out throughout the day. It takes a longer time than regular mascaras to remove but with eye makeup remover and a little time the product comes off well and doesn't rip off my real lashes. I would recommend this product for those who have short to medium length, thin lashes. It'll look like you're wearing falsies!

I have pretty decent lashes I would like a bit more volume ...
I wish you could give half stars and I would probably give this product 3.5....I have never tried Younique . this is the first fiber lash mascara I've ever used. I have pretty decent lashes I would like a bit more volume though. The volume was what I was really looking for, because my lashes are pretty long already but I was surprised to see they were even a bit longer than usual. The Length is definitely there, I just wish this product gave a little more volume. Okay, so things that I do like: It does give a little extra length and volume. The color was dark and not that ashy black sometimes your regular mascara can dry to be if it gets a little clumpy. It wasn't too hard to remove. No scrubbing for hours to get it off.....Mine were still pretty natural looking and maybe even a little less clumpy and caked on then my regular mascara application (I enjoy the somewhat clumpy look and always layer mascaras)...My lashes didn't feel quite as stiff and brittle like regular mascara which also helped to hold the curl which is sometimes a problem for me with my top lashes. Things that I don't like: It is kind of irritating to your eyes. there was a bit of a feeling like when you wear old mascara and your eyes feel itchy. The little fuzzy fibers fall through out the day. I think I did a pretty good job applying the product, I watched youtube videos and read the instructions explicitly.....There was still some fall out over the day though, and flaking mascara is never a good look, though it was easy to wipe away. I do not like how it applied to my bottom lashes.....My bottom lashes are very curled and very thin, sparse in some areas, but I always make it work and I like having a lot of mascara on the bottom lashes as well....I feel like on the bottom I achieve better results with my regular mascara then this. My final con is that you can see the hair like fibers on your lashes more than I would like to be able to....I will continue to wear this on the top and if I feel I need to bump up my stars I will give an updated review after several more applications. This was just my first impression. I do like the product over all but I was a little disappointed it didn't give quite the drama I was hoping it would. Update: I have used this probably 4-5 times now and I feel like I have got the hang of it...I do like this mascara and I do get more volume then my first application and way less fallout since I know what I'm doing....I don't know that I would repurchase though because it's just too much work for me...it's quite a process to apply and also I feel like the gel drys out fast and their wasn't as much product in their as there should be ....but overall I think it's a pretty decent product and I stick by giving it 3.5 stars....I think this product is probably a miracle worker for people who have short stubby lashes but I think I have pretty decent lashes so for the amount of work I have to put in with this, I can't use it everyday. It's too time consuming for me...

great mascara, i simply love my lashes now!
I'll try not to make this too wordy, but I have a tendency to ramble, so sorry in advance! Lol I have relatively long lashes already with regular mascaras, but I can never get the fullness I need from anything I've purchased at the drug store. I've always wanted that kind of "dolly" effect that fake eyelashes have, without the hassle of gluing anything to my eyelids. I can say that I've pretty much accomplished that with this eyelash system. Be aware, there is a bit of a learning curve! Aside from the fact that I tend to jump ahead without reading all the directions first, I am also not the most coordinated person in the world, so I've gotten a fair amount of dry fibers in my eyes. But if you carefully apply the fibers halfway through your lashes, you can get some pretty good volume and length going. This is on top of the mascara itself, which already is very good at making lashes stand out. Once you've got a good coat going and have given it about half a minute to dry, you just put on a bit more mascara to protect the fibers, and it all kind of acts like a shell around each individual eyelash. You can even continue building layers until you've achieved the look you want, which I tend to do about 2-3 times to get some dolly lashes. Then you're good to go! Once you're done with your day you can just wet your eyes down with warm water and wipe it off with a makeup wipe or something. I never have a problem with taking it off. One of the things I love most about this mascara is that it never melts off or bleeds to my lower eyelids, which I have a major problem with when it comes to every mascara/eyeliner. I'd almost given up hope on finding something waterproof enough to stay in place through the day. But this product STAYS PUT and looks fabulous all day! So if you have oily eyelids which I apparently have, this system will work well for you and look great! In summary: easy-to-use, stays all day, looks great. Best mascara I've used so far! The packaging is lovely too, gives it a premium look on top of quality product. Will buy again!

I do have a better suggestion, I think
I'm not that impressed. Although this stuff does make your lashes visibly longer, it also makes them look soft or fuzzy and/or clumpy, in a way that isn't really worth all the effort it takes to apply. This stuff doesn't look at all natural up close. Moreover, if you get the gel on your lids or brow bone (which is likely when you're dealing with the extended length), you'll have a hard time getting it off without wrecking your eye shadow. I do have a better suggestion, I think. Simply use Latisse or Revitalash to make your real eyelashes grow. Yes, I know the stuff is expensive, but it does work. So if you're willing to spend $20 - $30 on these 3D caterpillar lashes, why not go with the chemical treatment instead? Then you can get great results for $8 or less with a perfectly good tube of Cover Girl's Lash Blast -- which, by the way, will look *very* good when applied to lashes that have grown out with some chemical help. Also, you need a good eyelash curler. I highly recommend the Hitachi HR-550-P Pink | EYE CRiE Eyelash Curler, available on Amazon. It is superior to any other electric eyelash curler I have tried lately, and I have tried more than a few. It heats up very fast, and it gets warm enough to give a lasting curl. The secret to an absolutely perfect curl is to use the curler the way you would use a curling iron. First, coat the lower flexible pad with a little bit of silicone (I have tried silicone spray and eye shadow primer). The good news is, you won't have to keep doing this forever. Sooner or later the pad will get just a little slipperier all on its own -- but you do want it to have some slip to it. Then, with the curler held upright, push the top part onto your eyelid just above your lashes. This will make them stick out. Then close the curler on them. Next, instead of crimping your lashes several times as you "walk" the curler up, just ease up on the pressure a little bit until the lashes start to slide. (This may take some practice, especially with a new curler that hasn't been broken in yet.) As the lashes slide, invert the curler until the bottom end is up. You really do NOT have to press hard enough to crimp your lashes. The heat does all the work. You may even find that your lashes are a little TOO curly! But not to worry. The weight of the mascara will bring them down far enough that they look natural yet still have enough lift to make your eyes look wide open. And the best thing is, they stay curled all day. No kidding. Initially, you may pull a few lashes out, but they'll grow back quickly with Latisse, and they will not break or look bent like primitive fish hooks. Another quick trick: when you apply your mascara, use a clean mascara wand (I mean an old one with actual bristles that has been scrubbed in soap and hot water). I would suggest that you choose one whose bristles are longer on one side than the other. Press the short-bristle side against the loaded mascara wand from the tube of your favorite mascara. Then apply as many *thin* coats as you like using the longer, clean bristles to separate your lashes after each coat. The results are awesome. Lots better than this stuff.
