Review: A bit of this and a bit of that - I have all the Ottolenghi books in my collection and this is my least favourite of them all. No great Wow recipes and my disappointment started by viewing a recipe for pakoras of all things. I got the feeling that flavour at all cost including health and nutrition seem to be the mantra. There are a couple of excellent recipes though with the shawarma meat loaf (my cookout pictured above) and white poached chicken with peanut Rayu being the standouts. If you’re an Ottolenghi fan, like me, then buy this but if this is going to be your introduction to Ottolenghi, I’d suggest start elsewhere.
Review: Simple and tasty - Very happy with this purchase. Some great recipes and simple spices, which are not hard to find in the supermarket. Can't wait to cook all the recipes in the book.

### ⭐⭐⭐ A bit of this and a bit of that

I have all the Ottolenghi books in my collection and this is my least favourite of them all. No great Wow recipes and my disappointment started by viewing a recipe for pakoras of all things. I got the feeling that flavour at all cost including health and nutrition seem to be the mantra. There are a couple of excellent recipes though with the shawarma meat loaf (my cookout pictured above) and white poached chicken with peanut Rayu being the standouts. If you’re an Ottolenghi fan, like me, then buy this but if this is going to be your introduction to Ottolenghi, I’d suggest start elsewhere.
