I have used this formula of Dove Shampoo and conditioner off and on for over 20 years. Yes, I have been taken in by the promises of other brands from time to time, but I always go back to this Dove formula. I am 79 years old and have long hair. I don't color my hair, but I do use a hair dryer and heated tools for curling. I have tried so many of the herbal shampoos that left my hair looking dried and frizzy. Since my hair is not as thick as it used to be, I have also tried a few shampoos and conditioners that were supposed to promote hair growth. Again, my hair seemed to get drier and less shiny. Both of these products have a pleasant scent that is not at all overwhelming. I also like that the size of the bottles last a very long time making them very cost effective. Not too long ago, I was in a drug store at the checkout, and an elderly woman asked me what I used to make my hair look so healthy. I told her about Dove shampoo and conditioner, and would definitely recommend these products. They do actually improve the look and health of your hair. Conditioner that actually works. Very cheap for how effective it is. The smell is mild and I always get compliments that my hair smells good.
