Overall an Excellent and Versatile Light
Why did you pick this product vs others?: It's bright, it's quiet, it's light weight, and the quality of light is every bit as good as fixtures that cost 3x the price. Solid metal body feels durable and well made. On-board controls are easy to operate, but I haven't tried to the app yet so no comment on that. The included case is good quality and makes the value over the top. There is no reason not to have at least one of these in your kit.

CB300c for the win.
This is the brightest RGB light I Own from Neewer, weight of the is only ok because of the fact that it doesn’t have a light controller. The addition to my light kit makes is so much easier to upgrade my picture quality during shooting. Not to mention you don’t have to worry about it getting messed up by reasonable drops and bump be cause the build quality is very high with this light.

Great Power with no downsides
Absolutely love the output on this affordable 300 watt light. I love the fact that the power cable doesn’t have a power brick. That cuts down on the weight on the setup when traveling. This light has been more than enough power for the type of jobs I do. Corporate video etc. The build quality is sturdy and doesn’t feel cheaply made. It also came with an excellent case to protect your investment. Great value. I bought two.

Best 300 Watt RGB for the money.
Edit: Nov 2025. One pretty major complaint is the bowens mount. It doesn't like my aperture fresnel attachment. The mount is SUPER TIGHT. I had to shave off some of the plastic on the fresnel to get it to fit. Same thing with my godox umbrella, it's definitely the neewer mount. Needs to looser. I've used this on 2 music videos so far and it's great! A couple of reasons I chose this over the GVM 300c 1) it has an umbrella mount. GVM removed it. I attach a 7 foot umbrella with a diffuser to it. 2) it has an internal power supply. No hanging brick, quicker set up time. A couple of minor complaints. The red is not as saturated as the other colors, but still can be a deep red when adjusted in post. And the bowens mount didn't take my Aperture Fresnel, I had to shave a little bit of plastic on the fresnel in order for it to fit. In version 2 Neewer should make the tolerances less and maybe make it a bit stronger, seems fine though. Time will tell. Overall, great for the money, will buy another.

Really good light. Better build quality than Amara imo. Mostly metal.

The Neewer CB300C is a Very Good Value for a 300 Watt RGB LED Light
I have two Neewer CB200B (bi-color) LED Lights that I'm pretty satisfied with so, when I got an opportunity to order the CB300C, I jumped on it. RGB lights give you lots of options for lighting and I was really looking forward to receiving this. The body of the CB300C is the same as the CB200B so I knew the build quality would be very solid. With an all-metal housing, this light is quite rugged. It's, also, pretty large! I really like that the AC adapter doesn't have a power brick. It's just a long cable with the same connector that many computers and printers use. It's also reasonably long. I really appreciate that. My Amaran LED light has a power brick and the AC adapter isn't very long so I have to use an extension cord with it. The reflector that comes with the CB300C puts out a reasonably even light without too much of a center hotspot. The reflector that comes with the CB200B is a more high intensity version but it has a very serious hotspot so I don't use it at all. The reflector that comes with the CB300C is far better. It, also, comes with a pretty nice case. The CB200B I got did not come with a case so I ended up ordering the PB6 carrying case but that cost me $60 on sale so having an included case is a really nice bonus. This LED has an impressive amount of power and you can use it as a bi-color light to match the ambient white balance or you can go RGB to dial in whatever color you want. Of course, it has all the special effects that come with these types of lights although those are of limited use. One other nice feature is that it has the green/magenta adjustment so you can correct color shift. There are a couple of things to be aware of. First, the Bowens mount on this light has the same issue that the CB200B has and that is it is very tight if you use it with a different brand modifier. When I discovered that on the CB200B, I unscrewed the front of the mount and found that the three screws are going into plastic and not metal. That's a little disappointing but I hope it doesn't become an issue. I'm going to be very careful when mounting modifiers so to make sure I don't break the plastic. The good news is that I found I could use tiny spacers to loosen the Bowens mount. The spacers I used are like standard washers but these are backing washers for pop rivets. I had some that came with my pop rivet gun and they were the perfect size to put in where the screws attach the front on the mount to the light. These provide just enough space to allow my other modifiers to be mounted without jamming. The 2nd thing that surprised me is that I expected the 300 watt CB300C to be be brighter than the 210 watt CB200B but I found that to not be the case. In fact, the 210 watt CB200B is 1/3 stop brighter at the same settings as the CB300C. I used the same reflector for each light and set the power to 100% on both with the color temperature set to 5600K. At a distance of just over 7', the CB200B was slightly brighter. The specifications for each light do indicate the CB200B to be brighter but they are measured with different reflectors so you couldn't use the lux ratings to compare them. Despite these quirks, the CB300C is an excellent value. At the time of this review, it is selling for $269.99 and that is a low price for such a full-featured and well built LED light.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Mind-Blowing Light – Powerful, Creative, and Essential!
This light is absolutely incredible! The NEEWER CB300C RGB is not just bright and reliable—it’s inspiring. I use it alongside two CB300 White/Dual Color lights for larger group photo shoots, and together they make an unbeatable combo. The RGB version adds a whole new level of creative control, with tons of special effects and customizable colors that are perfect for video, portraits, or dramatic lighting setups. Whether I’m working in the studio or on location, this light delivers every time. NEEWER knocked it out of the park. I love this light!
