Perfect plates for small dinners

This is a set of 6 x plates from a Scandinavian company called pure living that TBH i have not heard of here in the UK, The plates come very well packaged to prevent damage in shipment and I'm pleased to say they all arrived 100% fine, They are stoneware but are glazed which I like as personally I don't like the scratchiness of normal stoneware, They are microwave and dishwasher safe, Be warned these are very heavy and probably the most heaviest plates I have ever had so maybe not so good if you have medical issues with your hands, You do have to be careful on worktops as the rim of the plates are not glazed and been stoneware they can scratch your worktop pretty easy as I found out.

The plates are heavy and the natural light brown colour makes a nice change from white. They have rough bottoms due to the glaze which can't be applied to the bottom of each piece because it will fuse to the kiln, so the rough, coarse-grained clay is exposed and can scratch tables or other dinnerware so store them with other stoneware dishes or place a paper napkin between plates. I already have some natural stoneware bowls and am impressed by how sturdy they are and how they have never chipped in the 10 plus years I've had them. I ordered these plates to make a set. Personally, I love the raised edge design, though I do have to allow a bit more room in the cupboard as they're huge and they also don't fit so well into the metal draining rack so I'm having to use a plastic one. They're very stylish and work equally well for family dinners or everyday meals. They will continue to serve their purpose for many years to come. The plates are large, with a gentle lip which means no spills. I like the fact that the pasta and sauce stays on the plate although they are quite heavy - I can only pick up one at a time. My meals look so yummy on them. I love both their appearance and functionality. The quality of these plates is exceptional. I honestly can't say enough about the excellent quality and beauty of these dishes.

The smaller plates compliment this with similar grooved rims The deep bowls really show off the grooves and would be excellent as pasta bowls or for risotto and in some situations soup as well. They would be great for a salad You could also have soup in the cereal bowls as well as cereal and the shape and design of these makes them look like mini traditional mixing bowls which I really like. These would be fine for desserts such as Ice Cream, fruit salads etc. Finally the coffee mugs have a slight lip and complement everything else well The Scandi look would suit both modern and traditional settings and be good for formal or informal dining. All of these The glossy glaze is smooth and even giving all,of the pieces a high quality finish. COLOUR These are described as the Colour of the sea and I think that is a very good description. The only colour that I don’t have is the grey but all the other colours work with each other and are soft and glossy. I think the grey-blue colour is lovely but slightly lighter and bluer than the pictures show and the beige is more of a cream colour. The ‘petrol’ colour is not as bright as the picture and is a lovely greenish blue. ROBUSTNESS Being stoneware, the plates feel sturdy and should be durable, but they’re not overly heavy or chunky and would be ideal for everyday use, although they’re also stylish enough for more formal dining. They have the added bonus of being microwave and dishwasher safe too. CARE All of these sets come really well packaged, double boxed and for the plates interleaved with strong cardboard, so they arrive safely and in perfect condition. VALUE These are all really lovely sets and whilst not cheap for the style and attractiveness I think they are well worth the money.

Diese Teller sind genau das, was ich für meine Küche gesucht habe - ein hochwertiges, elegantes und praktisches Geschirrset, das perfekt für jeden Anlass geeignet ist. Die Qualität der Teller ist sehr hochwertig - das Steingut-Material ist sehr stabil und die Verarbeitung ist sehr sorgfältig. Die Tatsache, dass die Teller auch sehr leicht zu reinigen sind, ist auch ein großes Plus - ich kann sie einfach in die Spülmaschine geben oder mit einem feuchten Tuch abwischen. Ich liebe die Tatsache, dass die Teller auch sehr stilvoll sind - das hellgraue Design ist sehr elegant und passt perfekt in meine Küche. Die Größe der Teller ist auch sehr praktisch - sie sind groß genug, um eine komplette Mahlzeit zu servieren, aber auch klein genug, um nicht zu viel Platz in meinem Geschirrschrank zu beanspruchen. Die Tatsache, dass die Teller auch mikrowellen- und kratzfest sind, ist auch ein großes Plus - ich kann sie ohne Bedenken in der Mikrowelle erhitzen oder mit einem Messer schneiden. Insgesamt bin ich sehr zufrieden mit meinem PURE LIVING INTERIOR DESIGN Steingut-Teller-Set und würde es jedem empfehlen, der nach einem hochwertigen, eleganten und praktischen Geschirrset sucht. Der Preis ist auch sehr attraktiv im Vergleich zu anderen Geschirrsets auf dem Markt. Ich gebe diesem Teller-Set 5 von 5 Sternen und kann es nur weiterempfehlen!
