Simple basic water test for 4 heavy metals
Test showed that my tap and filtered water has acceptable levels of all 4 of these heavy metals. My water filter (aquagear) seems to remove Cu. Only had 1 test for Pb so only tested the tap water and assumed the filtered water Pb levels would be at or lower than tap.Likes: fast and easy to use, 2 tests for copper (Cu), iron (Fe), and mercury (Hg).Dislikes: only 1 test for lead (Pb), chlorine interferes with Hg by imparting a blue/green color making reading Hg difficult to impossible. Chlorine will evaporate over time so one work around is to let the water sit for 24 hours before testing.

Good kit, easy to use and reliable measurements.
Worked well, easy to use, appears to be accurate.I took away one star because there are 2 tests for each metal (Iron, copper, mercury) but only one for lead. What's up with that? Supposed to test your drinking water once a year. Next year I can test 3 metals, but I can't test for lead.

It's fast and simple to use
I used this kit to test my tap water for lead and mercury primarily. The directions were easy to follow. The results were easy to read and it only took a few minutes. I liked that there were two tests available in the event I made an error, spilled the packets of powder or whatever. Three would be even better. There was only one test paper for lead. An additional test strip would have allowed me to confirm that I had followed instructions accurately if the results were inconclusive. Thank you - I will use this again if I feel the need to evaluate my tap water. SD

Difficult color matching
The copper and mercury litmus style color test was easy to set up but, if you had a reading over 0ppm, it was hard to judge an accurate range. This was especially true for the mercury. The color tone for 0ppm was a pale gold and the next color level at 0.002ppm was VERY minimally darker. Unfortunately, that first level would then place the mercury content at the max for USEPA contamination of drinking water. That's a problem, no room for error. The copper test was more forgiving. The color change was more apparent if you reach the max USEPA level for this metal. To be fair, if I were using this kit on a regular basis I might be better at judging the different ranges. In general, I would probably give this another try since my main concerns are lead & copper contamination.

Good job!
We've just move here in our new house and my kids are complaining about their upset stomach. I've suspected that the tap water is the main culprit. I've tested our water with this tester kit and it just confirmed my assumptions. Our water has traces of lead and mercury! I'm so disappointed with this discovery but I'm really thankful for this product! It gives accurate results and the instructions are very easy to follow! I've got the results after a couple of minutes!

Amazon delivery is undependable and lacks verifiable verification.
Product may be ok, but since I never received it and Amazon customer service could not be contacted even after providing extensive account verification - I was charged again for an item I did not receive.

Accuracy? Not sure. Easy to use? Yes.
The kit was very easy to use. I was able to test my filtered tap water and unfiltered tap for all tests except lead (there was only one test kit for lead). It appears our tap water is fine according to the results. I am not sure how accurate the results were. We did get our water tested by a water specialist prior to getting an RO system installed. The specified minerals were not tested but it was shared with us that our water is “very hard water” with “little chlorine”. So we will decide on a water softener system later as it is not within our budget. So, as for the kit, easy to use but unsure about accuracy of results.
