Within a couple of days my dry skin was gone. You do need to shake it as indicated on the bottle with each use. Some people that found the lotion very thick may want to try shaking it to see if that helps. It does have a slight chemical smell that dissipates fairly quickly but when I use it on my legs I top it off with scented lotion anyway.
