We got this clothesline to have extra space to hang up clothes at home. It works really well for this. Easy to install and works exactly as it should. Has a place to lock the line so it doesnt cause it to come out more. The cord is a sort of almost vinyl that stretches and helps keep it from breaking. I would recommend this if you are looking for a clothesline for camping or just an extra spot to hang dry clothes.

I am extremely happy with this purchase. Not only was it easy to install but after several uses now seems to be very sturdy as well. I was worried that the line would no longer pull back in but I have done several load of laundry now and retracting of taken it down and up has held up just fine.

I bought this quite a while ago and just recently had it put up on my patio. I'm so disappointed as the line sags and there's no way I can hang anything with any weight on it. Unless there's something I'm doing wrong this clothes hanger is maybe only good for very lightweight items. I hung a wet facecloth on it and it sagged down 3-4 feet. Is there a trick I don't know about?? Also, there's a round circle piece of plastic under the reel. Is the line suppose to wraparound that?

Bought this to replace older, much-used model (not necessarily same manufacturer) which lasted several years before ceasing to retract. This one failed after 3 months in a different way; the line pulled off of the pulley wheel, crashing my laundry to the ground. I was able to reattach it ( not easily), but without restoring retractibility. So now it's just a clothesline, functional but not what I paid for. I've actually had three of these in maybe 20-plus years. This is the first time one has simply come apart like this.

If you want to hold a lot of clothes and often then put up something permanent . If you have a small project or just need to hang a few things then this is an affordable solution. For all you haters out there you shouldn't expect miracles from something of this nature. People should be responsible for there own stupidity , and not blame the product if it fails your needs. Amazon returns are easy and other products are available. I love this thing and it suits my needs. I have purchased 4 of these , 1 failed due to manufacturing , I returned it , they replaced it. Simple .

I hung this clothesline up outside to dry my wet laundry on, and it works! It does not come with instructions, so some research and personal labor is necessary to install it. It comes with screws; all you need is the screw drive and a little elbow grease. I recommend this clothesline for people with small living spaces and those who live alone. Its length is just enough for one person and their laundry.

Not heavy AT ALll. Fell apart in two weeks

I purchased this for my craft room as I hang many vintage cloth items. This is perfect. I can also say its sturdy I was able to hang a queen size quilt on about 12 foot of the line pulled out. It worked great. I would highly recommend
