Best Bot Ever!
After a few weeks of usage I can at least say for now that this unit is amazing. I have owned many auto litter bots and this is far superior in every way. There is NO work involved here. The dirty litter bin is very large. Great for multiple cats. The way it closes after every cleaning keeps the smell down and I love how I never have to change the bagging system. It seals the litter bag when dirty and you remove the old one and it auto sets the new one. Amazing. The camera works great. Records everything very well. I got this bc I have a cat in kidney failure and I need to know his habits. Has been very useful for that. The unit itself is actually very compact considering the large size of the toileting area. I’ve had full service units before and usually they are just bulky awful sized units. Not so with this one. And I love that the litter capture is in the back of the unit. I feel like this unit sets the new standard for what auto litter boxes should be. This was actually worth every dime. I’m actually considering buying another one. ***** I wanted to add an addendum to my review that I have three of these now and I have had them for over a year and never had any issues. I also see a ton of people commenting that they have issues with using it for larger cats and I have a cat that is extremely large in stature and weighs about 20 pounds and he uses it with no issue. I have a wide variety of pets and there has been zero problems with using these units for any size cat. So I really don’t get the issue that other people are having. I can truly say these were a good investment because they still work perfectly after all this time. I have never had any other automatic litter box work for this long. I couldn’t imagine going away from these litter boxes at any juncture in time unless they come out with even greater improved model models that have more functionality.

Great Investment
We bought this while it was on sale and made an impulsive (though mildly informed) decision and bought this. We have 3 cats and having to bend down and scoop poop, especially after a long day of work and some mobility issues. It's functions are fully customizable and work pretty dang well. It's UI is really easy to understand and is intuitive for the most part. Navigating the menu on the LED on the litter box isn't as much, but it's mostly due to the double-click confirmation. You scroll through the menu, then single click the option, THEN double click to confirm. I'm sure it's a safety feature but it took me sec to figure that out since I kept getting frustrated that it wouldn't go through. The robot is pretty damn big, about 2 regular bots wide and length, considering it's functionality, so expect it to take up a good amount of space. Now, about all the subscriptions you'll be presented with with it's many moving parts. The cloud service it has is relatively useful, but considering it locks the extra functionalities behind a subscription, it's a little frustrating. The filter for the trash receptacle is relatively cheap to replace and it does a damn good job at covering up the smell of the building trash bag. The bag needs to be packed every 2-4 days depending on the cats' frequency which isn't all too bad. The gripes I have with it are few. One issue I came across is the packing functionality works mostly fine, using heat to melt the bag-ends and sealing the bag. I had an issue where the robot did NOT do a good job of splitting the sealed bag from the new part of the bag and it ended up with me prying it apart. The full bag was fine but it ended up creating a tear in the refill, thus rendering it completely useless (unless I missed a way to re-seal it or find a remedy.) I had to refill the ring with a new, non-torn one and that's money down the drain. Overall, I'd consider it a great purchase and would highly recommend it to anyone who's got the money and who needs a little extra help around the house.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great first automatic litter box — really impressed
This is my first time using an automatic litter box, and honestly, I’m really impressed with the Petkit PuraBot Ultra. Setup was pretty straightforward, and it’s been super easy to use day to day. The app is clean and intuitive, so I didn’t have to spend time figuring things out. One of my favorite features is the auto bagging—it makes cleanup so much easier (and less gross). I barely have to think about it, which is kind of the whole point. The camera with facial recognition is surprisingly useful, especially since I have multiple cats. It’s nice being able to see which cat is using the box and keep an eye on their habits. I also like how the litter box rotates left and right to cover the waste before dumping it. It actually helps keep the inside cleaner since things don’t stick to the cylinder as much. Overall, it feels like a high-quality, well-thought-out product. Definitely made my life easier, and my cats adjusted to it pretty quickly too. If you’re on the fence about getting an automatic litter box, this is a great one to start with 👍

Don’t not buy if you have a cat over 15 pounds. The horror.
I really wanted to love this litter box. The self-cleaning feature is slick, the design is clean, and my cat took to it right away. Unfortunately, there’s a serious flaw: the waste bin is way too small, and the entry lip doesn’t account for cats that, shall we say.. are Garfield worthy. My cat walks in and barley fits to the point his butt is right at the edge, and every time he goes number two, his rear is just outside the entrance. The result? A surprise deposit just outside the machine—and not the kind you want to find with your bare foot in the morning. I have had to clean up so much cat shit with this litter box it’s awful. The smell, and the fecal matter gets pushed into the sphere resulting in a massive mess becoming an even worse one. If the waste chamber was larger and the design helped guide the cat deeper into the unit, this would be a win. But as it stands, I’m spending more time cleaning around the litter box than I did with a manual one. Great idea, poor execution. I’d share images but honestly it’s so graphic with the camera system recordings that I’d likely see this review rejected or worse my Amazon account banned.

Great for Smaller Cats – A Big Help Even for Just One
I've had the PETKIT UltraBot for over six months now. Out of my three cats, only one uses it regularly—but even that has made a big difference in reducing my daily scooping routine. The unit works perfectly for the one who does use it. It keeps things clean and odor-free, and the self-cleaning function has been reliable. However, the entry hole and interior space are on the smaller side. My larger cats don’t seem comfortable climbing in, and even the one who does use it has occasionally chosen to poop just outside the box, likely due to the tight fit. Overall, I’m still happy with the purchase—it’s sleek, quiet, and does the job. But next time, I’d probably go for a model with a larger entry and more interior space to accommodate all my cats comfortably.

Safety
The Petkit Litter Box is an absolute game-changer for any cat owner! From its sleek, modern design to its incredibly functional features, this litter box exceeds expectations in every way. It effectively eliminates waste, keeping odors at bay and ensuring your home stays fresh and clean. Plus my absolute favorite thing, the safety features, my kittens use it like a playground at times and if it is in the middle of cleaning it stops immediately. Totally recommend it! Worth every dollar! Overall, the Petkit Litter Box combines convenience, efficiency, and technology in a way that makes maintaining your cat's hygiene very easy. It's definitely worth the investment if you want a clean, odor-free home and a happy, healthy cat!

Great go to for for PETKIT refills
If you have one of these boxes, then you know you absolutely cannot run out of bags! These come in a 4-pack and work well. They nest together for easy storage with a paper tab to keep them from catching and pulling out. Odors are controlled by the sealed doors on the unit and the odor blocking cube. These are a good value to keep your unit running. I’ve only had one or two issues out of several sets where the bag didn’t hold up or complete refilling correctly. I believe that’s more of the machine error than the bags themselves as it cuts and thermally seals during the process.

The barrel is too shallow. It didn't fit my largish cat. So disappointed!
Sadly, this incredible technological marvel did not work for us. We have three cats, two of whom are mid-sized kittens and one average-to-large-sized elderly 14-year-old Tuxie. The kittens fit fine, of course, but the 14-year-old had two accidents where he faced the inside of the litter chamber with his hindquarters sticking out, and he urinated all over the floor. It is actually shocking to me that the chamber is so shallow as not to accommodate a larger cat! Given the cost of this machine and the fact that my big boy is really rather average-sized, you would think this would have been addressed. We bought this automatic litter box for him, because he gets very fussy if his litter isn't pristine. He will often pee or poop outside of the box if the cleanliness of the litter is not to his liking, so naturally, the self-cleaning feature is a huge plus! The app, the self-cleaning mechanism itself, and the rings were super easy to use, and the quality is top-notch. I can't begin to describe my disappointment. The fact that I was willing to pay this much money for a litter box should be telling in itself. Our oldest has also had a history of urinary crystals, so I was really excited to have a way to monitor his urination and to track the other cats' habits, as well. The first thing the vet will ask us is if they are pooping and peeing ok, and with multiple cats using a conventional litter, how would we know? This technology enables cat owners to track all of their cats' elimination habits and also the cats' weight. If the design is ever improved to accommodate a larger (albeit average-sized) cat, I would totally try this again.

Just pure disappointment (NEW UPDATE)
I was very disappointed with the Petkit Purobot Ultra. First, the package arrived with missing items. Second, the box itself does not fully rotate as it should, which makes the cleaning function unreliable. But the biggest problem is the camera, it simply does not work at all. Even after following all the installation steps and troubleshooting, the app keeps saying the camera is not plugged in. For the price, I expected much better quality control. Unfortunately, with missing parts, rotation issues, and a dead camera, I cannot recommend this product. Hopefully, Petkit improves their quality check, but right now I would not suggest buying it. Well after getting for the second time it did work and it is the best smart litter box for cats i will recommend buying it just be worry about the camera and the missing parts

Must have
I must have if you have small kittens using the litter box

Big, expensive, but brilliant.
It's huge; it's very expensive, the camera is a bit pointless - I can access pictures of my cat squatting and the result (fine, if not very dignified) but honestly, once you have seen one litter-covered present you've seen them all. That all pales into insignificance compared to the main benefits - things like regular (and accurate) weighing, and automatic scooping, bagging and sealing. My young kitten adapted to it within a day. It integrates well with Home Assistant too.

Best Cat litter robot by far!
Had a litter robot 3, this is different gravy ! You won’t know you own a cat ! Works well, no odours, cleaning and auto bagging is amazing! Consumables are a bit pricey - however the refill rings last 3 months (1 bag a week for 1 cat) , just swopped to the latest Petkit litter - you will use up to one bag a week, certainly one every 2 weeks - i tried other litter, but the Petkit is the best by far. Got 6 bags for £57 on amazon , so between £250 -500 on litter. Things to improve for v2 - better alert for full litter bag - flashing red light on machine may be, bigger notification on app - you have to check the app . Getting the litter in - its quite tight to open bag into the machine. However minor issues really, best auto cat litter robot by far.

Horrible device and customer service
If I could give a worse rating, I would. This device began malfunctioning within a month of purchase: • The trash would not refill properly. • After completing the packing cycle, the unit would malfunction and become completely unusable until it randomly “fixed” itself, only to fail again. • The device frequently displayed “auto scooping failure” messages and refused to cycle, even manually, despite no visible or physical issues. When I contacted PETKIT support, after a full week of back-and-forth, they eventually told me that my unit was not an official device because they had not sold it to me directly even though they themselves identified the exact issue and acknowledged it as a known problem with their product design/manufacturing. I then contacted the seller (pawtastic KSA), who had to escalate the issue back to PETKIT. Only at that point did PETKIT finally agree to consider addressing it. This leaves the customer caught in the middle between manufacturer and seller, with no accountability and weeks of wasted time. And despite this, I have yet to receive a solution and have stopped hearing back from the seller. For a premium priced product, this is unacceptable. The fact that I have an expensive product that acts like a regular litter box defeats the purpose and has severely wasted my time, patience, and money.
