So happy I got this and not the more expensive popular option. It works just as well and can be controlled via an app on your phone and manually with buttons which is great! It has so many options. I love that it shows the time, you can switch the colors of the light, the brightness, and it’s a sounds machine. You can create routines as well! Definitely a nursery must have :)

Truly the best sound machine. We had a cheaper one that was functionally the same, but after two years with a toddler, it became clear that it was cheaply made. It also had a bunch of glitches and functionality issues. Everything that frustrated me about that other sound machine is a complete non-issue with the Dreamegg. I haven’t had it randomly disconnect and I can have multiple machines all controlled from the same place and give them names so I know which one is where. Also, when I was having an issue figuring out why it seemed to be turning on early, customer service was super helpful. It turns out I had accidentally turned on the sunrise alarm which starts the light brightening 30 minutes early. We’ve had this for a couple of months and love it. Since it has to be plugged in to operate, my kids are less likely to try and walk around with it or throw it at each other (last one we had was battery operated which made it seem more like a toy than a tool). It also uses the same app we have for another couple smart devices in our home so that was nice not having to download another app.

This is exactly what I needed and wanted. I love all the features and that it has buttons on it to be able to easily use it without the app right there in the room. Love that it has brown noise and routine alarm schedules. It looks great and I really wanted one that had a clock on it so I appreciate that as well. I like it more than my Hatch rest.

I had a hatch since my daughter was born to help her sleep (it has also helped me). Recently though my Hatch's cord broke and wasn't able to repair it. I tried finding the same one I had but it has been discontinued, i guess. I liked the Hatch Rest because you didn't have to set the volume to high in order to hear the our favorite sound (beach waves). I did some research and saw a few reviews from other customers saying that this product was similar to the Hatch Rest. It has not disappointed. I still miss my Hatch L0L. I like how it does have different sound options and colors. I have to place it at volume of 90% though versus my previous Hatch at just 60%. The beach waves on the Dreamegg is different from the one in Hatch so we use the waterfall, it sounds just like the Hatch. I also like that it displays the time. would recommend it though because it does help my 3 year old fall asleep fast. It's also the same size as the Hatch

We have had the Dream Egg for about 2 weeks now and we love it. I got it as a cheaper alternative to the Hatch Rest+, which we also have, and it’s great. It is super easy to set up. You can set routines, control it remotely and there’s a TON of different sound options and colors. The overall quality is very very similar to the Hatch. One detail that differs is that this has to be connected to a power source while the Hatch has an internal battery where you could carry it as a nightlight or it can keep going in the event of a power outage. This does not have that option, but we so far have not minded. I would say the sleep quality is equivalent to other sound machines. My newborn sleeps great and we are currently only using this one for naptimes in her bedroom since she still sleeps in our room. The light is very bright and the sound can go pretty loud as well. I really like that this has the buttons on top and the sides that allow you to easily adjust things and choose other sound options versus the Hatch where you have to use the app unless your just adjusting sound volume or light level. I don’t usually write reviews, but this one has impressed me so much, I had to brag on it. The app also allowed you to connect it to an Alexa or Google home product so you can control it that way, which is not a function that the Hatch has, that I know of. Overall, SO worth it for the relatively low cost!!

Eh, it’s okay. Our Hatch Rest 2nd gen sound machine broke after the internal mechanism just quit and sound wouldn’t come out. I dropped it once, but after that it was never the same and eventually died - big bummer since they’re expensive. Found out the new Hatch baby machines are $80+, so I set out to find an alternative. This one looked promising, and it is a decent alternative, but the huge bummer is that the sound options are SO awful and fake. I literally hate all of them for a white noise. I finally landed on pink noise option because they were all so awful and you can’t add any sounds to it. Otherwise, set up is fairly easy. I don’t love that some things you can only control in the app, but I suppose Hatch was like that too. The lights are very bright, which I find annoying. Hatch had very nice, soft lights. It’s already set up, so I’ll keep it, but if the Hatch ones weren’t $80 I’d be buying that one instead.

I love this sleeping machine and so glad I purchased this over the Hatch. It has many options for sounds and lighting. You can also dim the lights to your liking. My husband and I are already using it to go to sleep before the baby gets here, and we sleep so good! The app is really easy to install and use. I love that I can turn it on when I’m not home or near the machine, but what I love most is I can use it without the app too. You can still turn it on and by manually clicking the buttons. I currently also use it to set my alarm to wake up that’s programmed in the app. So far so good! And it is really cute.

Honestly, my family and I LOVE this sound machine. We’re a family of 4- myself, my husband, a 4 year old & 7 year old. As you can imagine some nights tend to be very active. Between my husband snoring (literally cutting logs in the room), my 4 year old who recently fully potty trained getting up and down in the middle of the night with a squeaky sticky door, my 7 year old who’s autistic, ADHD, ODD and has severe separation anxiety, and then myself who’s a light sleeper or just randomly stays up until 1 am to deep clean my house- with these machines on me and my family don’t hear any of the other commotion… NOT EVEN A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM. We literally had a microburst the other weekend and we didn’t even hear the tree in our backyard get uprooted and snapped in half. They block out any outside noise. Ignore the other hasty reviews, trust me and buy one. Even dreamegg support was kind enough to reach out and follow up on how we’re enjoying our purchase. The size is great, it sits nicely next to my side of the bed and doesn’t take up space. You can easily move it around the room if you need to relocate it and its resumes play features. Honestly with it, my sleep quality has improved greatly, I truly could not sleep a restful night without it! We’re even thinking about buying a third just as a back up, or to put in another part of our home for our daughters when they move to their own room shortly! Plus I love that I can control this device from anywhere with the WiFi features and read the time with ease!

I bought this two months ago and since then my quality of sleep has improved. A few notes where the description does not explain in detail: -Comes with an app which is easy to use (if you're familiar with the latest WiFi connectivity methods for standard sync'ing) -The app has 6 modes which can be scheduled for start and end time with noise level and as well as light level. Buying a second one for the cyber Monday as a gift to an elderly.

I used to have a first generation Hatch Rest but gave it away when I thought I was done having kids. Fast forward a few years and another baby later, and even something like this again. But Hatch complicated their product and created a subscription, and my overtired brain couldn't handle it. So I returned it and found this instead. Much simpler and easier. Exactly what I was looking for. My 2.5 year old loves yelling that her light is blue in the morning. She can choose the colour for her naps. I can control with my phone. Easy peasy.

This machine has been a dream to use. Connecting to the app was easy and the app itself is very user friendly. Our little one seems to like the different white noise sounds it offers and the bonus being we don’t need a subscription to use it to its full potential!

Really enjoy the product. Great variety of sounds and lights. App seems easy enough to use.
