Had to buy the pro versions due to my huge foot size. Actually glad I was forced to go that route, as the pros are a superior product construction wise to the standard Yaktrax. That's not to say the standards are bad, but these are just better built.For snowy and icy conditions these make a huge difference. I'm a fully able person, but we started using these years ago (standard versions) for my wife and child who both had separate mobility issues, meaning traversing snow or ice would have a high chance of fall. When using these in appropriate conditions, neither of them have ever come close to fall again.

Bought the XL as I have size 14 feet. These would probably just fit a size 15. I was very sceptical about them so decided to give them a try-out up Helvellyn today. About quarter of the way up the ice and snow started to encrust the path and I started slipping, put on the YaxTrax and I was walking like Legolas on snow. These things are brilliant and very cheap. Walked for miles on snow, ice and rocks, it was a delight.It was only when I started to descend down a relatively steep path did I wish I had crampons as the ice was very thick.Highly recommended, didn't come off, no damage. Perfect.

I purchased the Yaktrax Pro Traction Devices to aid in a recent hike up Mount Snowdon which had large amounts of snow. When we approached the snow covered parts the Yaktrax were fitted onto my boots in seconds and easily and as I began to walk with them my confidence in the grip they provided just grew and grew.In compacted or icy snow the benefits are enormous and I simply walked as normal in areas where others were struggling to stay upright. In light powdery snow the benefits aren't as good due to the snow moving around your boots.I've hiked 10 miles in the Yaktrax's so far so its still early days with monitoring wear but I am happy to report that the I did some sections of the walk on stone filed mud and upon inspection there is no signs of wear on the devices.The only negative I could find was the device did move slightly to the inner side of my boot but I suspect that's more to do with the fitment than the device itself, I think with some practice I can eliminate that issue.All in all I would highly recommend them.

I have bought other ice track shoe covers in the past. But i take size 12 boots and the others usually stretched that much to get them on they snapped on the toe part. I heard about these from a friend and ordered them i thought nothing to lose. They are way more flexible to put on and fit perfectly. They give me confidence to walk on icy surfaces and so far they have worked perfectly no slipping no sliding. Recommend

Bought these in preparation for the Winter Spine Sprint South, after hearing good things I felt super prepared for all the snow and ice. Put them on about 4km into the race as I was about to climb Kinder Scout. Disappointed to say they didn’t even make it to the top before some of the plastic snap so they were just hanging on by the strap. Will be looking at alternatives for future winter events.

Second pair of these and review based on the old pair as I have yet to truly test the new ones.Great in compacted snow and ice, not easy at first to put on and take off but they will get better with wear. Very secure and I wore my old ones during the Beast from the East in 2018. Didn't slip once and walked a few miles with them on. Work best in compacted snow but even in fresh snow they offer great grip.

Eerst kreeg ik het verkeerde artikel. Dat werd hersteld. Ze passen, al is het moeilijk. Voor mij zo goed als onmogelijk om ze aan te doen omdat ze gewoon erg strak om de schoen moeten. Nouja, voor uiterste noodgevallen misschien.

Great product. Don’t walk on tiles, polished boards/concrete with them on.
