Haydn Richards Junior English Book 4 With Answers (Revised Edition)

Good book for primary student kids to improve their English skills.

I have bought this for my son is 9 as part of extra support at home. I have already have 1-3 and level 4 challenges him for year 5.

Really helped my children sail through 11plus and very good grounding. Page by page over the holidays taught them English the way I was taught.

The exercises in this series of books can be enjoyed by bright children and their teachers/parents alike. If pitched correctly - right child, right exercise - they will help establish vocabulary, punctuation and grammar, and give practice at reading comprehension, with well chosen excerpts and carefully graded questions. Junior English 4 contains lots of good stuff but it is showing its age. For example, smoking and whaling were clearly widely accepted activities when the book was written. And if gender stereotyping is a problem, certain pages would definitely rule themselves out.

Great little book with good old-fashioned grammar lists and exercises. Excellent support for verbal reasoning tests, or just for those who struggle with English as a subject.

Working through this and I like the straightforward layout. Content is helping to build literacy skills.

This book is perfect for teaching grammar. It has great excersises to reinforce spelling, punctuation and uses the correct grammatical terminology.
