how long is the blade and is it a full tang knife?

The total blade length is 7 3/8th inches. The total cutting length is 7 inches. And yes it is full tang. The ONLY way to get 7 1/2 blade length is to measure below the guard which makes no sense, otherwise 7 3/8ths. This is an OUTSTANDING knife and one of my favorites. However. This is NOT a backpacking survival knife, or a wood working knife, or even a kitchen knife although it really cuts meat. The sheath is set up for any carry, belt, gear, what have you and well designed and made. Blade is amazing as are the handle and butt cap. Typical great Cold Steel quality for this style. This is a self defense, carry (depending on the laws in your State or country), or collectors knife. As it is a hollow grind being foolish with its use will make you make a sad face. Again I cannot say how much I like this knife, fit, finish, balance, feel, edge, steel used, grip quality, all outstanding. I hope this helps.

Made in Taiwan will be good quality. Made in China will be inferior steel. I had to look through very many Seal Pup knives before finding one made in Taiwan.......there is a difference.

What type of steel does it have?

To the person that said this cheaply made….you’re wrong. They have great knives and use good materials. You’re getting your facts mixed up on where junk is made. Cold steel has a good reputation in the knife collecting community

I ordered my knife from abcd sales is it going to be authentic?

It should be, if not Amazon will refund your money on return. They won’t tolerate Cold Steel fakes being sold. I have the same knife and got it on Amazon for $128.00 a smoking deal and authentic too.
