Whether I am rebuilding brittle harnesses on my car or just doing basic electrical splices, this clear heat shrink has quickly become my go-to. I absolutely love how I can see the wire underneath after shrinking it down. It completely takes the guesswork out of the repair—I can visually verify that my solder joint is clean and that the crimp is holding perfectly before wrapping everything up. It shrinks down evenly with a standard heat gun without scorching, creating a nice, tight seal around the connection. The tubing feels durable and provides excellent strain relief. If you are doing any automotive wiring or DIY electrical work, do yourself a favor and grab a pack of the clear tubing. You will never want to go back to the opaque black sleeves!

I bought this to replace the 5/32" that I used up in a Harbor Freight a non-marine assortment. Initially I was not impressed when compared with the HF tubing that it was replacing and I gave it a bad review. However, as I used it more, I found it worked good enough. It is thinner than the HF tubing, but was sealing the tight enough that I wont be worrying about voltage leakage on a 12 volt system. Much of my initial disappointment was the result of trying to use it to seal soldered wires with spikey points. However, after I changed my technique to use uninsulated butt splices and insulate with the shrink tubing, the shrink tubing worked just fine. Although next time I will be buying a better quality 1:3 or 1:4 shrink ratio with an adhesive liner.

This heat shrink tubing worked perfectly for adding a protective covering to a key fob.

Easy to use right out of the package. Quality product for heat shrinking. Length and thickness was perfect for shaping the form I had intended to sue.
