Be sure to use a mono TRS jack. Stereo won't work.
Be sure to use a mono TRS jack, as a stereo jack will not work. You will be scratching your head thinking your cello doesn't work, and the manual does not clarify this. Beautiful instrument, visually and aurally. Manual is unworthy.

An amazing cello
The 6 string NS is quite an amazing instrument. Even when it is not plugged in it has a great cello sound. There is a learning curve to play it but it offers the electric cellist a sleek, portable, cello sounding option. The only questionable detail is the bag that comes with the stand in it. Putting such heavy equipment right on (with just the cloth of the bag between them) the cello itself seems chancy.

Great customer support
I managed to procure a 14 year old used CR6 for a great price. I contacted NS Design and they provided me with the internal cabling connection diagram and new set of cover plate screws at no charge. The D'Addario string set is pricey, but if stored properly the strings should last at least a year. The sound is the best of the electric cellos by my reckoning. It is going to fun, but a lot of work, to learn to play the 6-string after not having a Cello for decades. Looking forward to it though.....

We purchased the cr6 cello for our daughter and she rocks it after practice lessons on her acoustic. This is the perfect gift for all Children with their imagination!!!
