Great discovery!!
I just got to know about thermal cooker recently while searching online on how to best have hot home cooked food while on the go as we were planning to go skiing but tired of the expensive cafeteria food up the mountain or cold sandwiches. Food thermoses are quite ok but I wanted something that can hold food for our family of 5 and retain the heat longer. Saw this and ordered with a bit of skepticism. Ha. I didn’t have time to try it out first as it was delivered a day before we left for the mountain. So as I didn’t really know if it would work or not, I fully cooked my lamb soup at home. Reheated the soup in the pot on the stove till bubbling about 5-7mins, dumped in the half cooked carrots & potatoes, placed the inner pot in the thermal outer. I also put just cooked rice on the top part. I did this at 7.30am. I placed the thermal pot inside an insulated 8qt instant pot bag/carrier and secure it with 2 thick kitchen towels around the pot. At 4.00pm, we were starving and cold, popped the trunk open and voila, we had hot rice and lamb soup! It was so satisfying. It was hot to the point that I had to blow the food a little to eat. The size is good and the capacity is great for more than 5 adults if you’re making stew/soup as a side dish! And at 8pm, when we wanted to have dinner, the soup & rice were still more than warm! Amazing! It’s easy to use and transport for road trips esp on a snowy day! And last night, I tried making congee. 1 cup of jasmine rice to 12 cups of water(as I prefer mine to be more liquidy) on the stove till just bubbling, placed the inner pot into the thermal outer, this morning at 7am, I had perfectly cooked congee for breakfast! I’m impressed, really! I’ve used this twice so far, let’s see how it will hold up. Like other reviews mentioned, it does look a lil flimsy. But it works! This will be used regularly for prepping pre-dawn meals in Ramadhan definitely! Can have hot stews/soups/oats ready early in the morning without having to reheat or prep anything. I added two more photos, where I made vegetable & beans(dry & no pre-soaking) soup and basmati rice. I put both on the stove to boil and put them inside the thermal container at around 8:30pm and the next morning at 8:00am, I have warm vegetables soup & nicely cooked basmati rice. This is really convenient for me who has a toddler and can’t afford to spend so much time in the kitchen!

Great for travel, college & busy life
This is my 2nd thermal cooker, but this one is smaller, because my daughter is heading to college and live on her own in an apartment. This particular 6-liter thermal cooker is a perfect size for 3-5 serving. For my daughter, I can just roughly cook a beef stew and make sure all the ingredients are cooked on the stove, then place the inner pot to the carrier, let the heat to do the work. You can let it sit over night then ready for eat next day lunch or dinner, it will be still warm-hot, the meat will be tender, moist, not dry. All the cooking will be done while you are away after you place the inner pot into the container, and it's very easy to carry to car, transport safely without spilling all over the place. Of course, you don't put it upside down. There are many dishes can be cooked by thermal cooker, to save energy, time and safely, just try.

Good for everyday use
This is a good thermal Cooker to store your food hot or cold. The inner pot does not have very thick stainless steel. Yet you still can cook it directly on the stovetop. It comes with another smaller inner pot as well besides the big one. I do notice it will take longer to heat up the food from this pot comapred to my other pots. So I usually use this more for Potluck to keep the food warm or cold after I am done with cooking. In that aspect, it is very useful. It will keep the food warm or cold for a LONG time. This is my second Thermal Cooker, as I really like the use of it.

Totally awesome!
I am always happy when an Amazon purchase turns out well and this one had made me ecstatic. Throw your ingredients in the pot, bring to a simmer for 10-15 minutes, then put the inner pot inside the latching, insulated outer pot and let it cook with the trapped heat. A LOT of things you can cook in it are done 30-40 minutes later, and it keeps thing hot for about half a day! It hasn't failed yet. I've used it for pasta, chicken noodle soup, beef stew, used the little pot for cornbread to go with the stew... Yeah, this thing is awesome. Can't wait to see how it improves my summer cooking. I already use an electric hotplate and pressure cooker for summer cooking outdoors. I'll be adding this and a slow cooker to the back yard arsenal this year.

Not airtight.
Is not airtight. Quality of construction is low. Food and soups slosh around and spill from container when lid is secure. Does not perform with the claim of ongoing cooking after inserting into the outer container.

Great energy saving cooking pot
This is a great, medium-size pot that retains heat very well. I've been impressed overall with its capability. Recently tested a soup and got close to 9 hours above 165 degrees holding.

Good Pot and short delivery dates than estimated
I love this pot. It is very nice thing to save time for cooking and conveniently hand carrying outside with hot soup for hours.
