OXO Good Grips Salad Dressing Shaker Clear Large

This is the salad dressing container I have searched for for decades. Thank you, Oxo, for saving me from any more wasted purchases. Well made, sturdy, clear measurement markings, easy to screw the top on and off, and tilt lid is genius. When you shake the dressing, you hold the lid firmly shut (it does not leak) and to pour, just tilt it enough to let the dressing drip, flow, or gush out. Like I said, genius. And it washes beautifully in the dishwasher. The size is perfect - it holds several days' worth of vinaigrette. Five PLUS stars.

I was looking for shakers for my vinaigrettes and couldn’t find exactly what I wanted until I ran on to these. I have both the large and small size. They work perfectly and are good quality. I really like them and highly recommend.

Nice shaker and it works well. The flip lid seems to work very nicely and no leaks. Very satisfied. I understand this is their “Large”, however I wish they offered an even larger size. Many times I have to use the container twice to accommodate my needs.

A few yummy looking salad dressing recipes inspired me to purchase this shaker. It has been used to much in the past year it is starting to look warn (but is holding up very nicely!) It has clearly marked measurements for pouring ingredients in directly. The top closes and is easily held down with a thumb or finger for vigorous shaking. Another option is to use an immersion blender. Mine fits tightly, but works in this, so I can mix thicker ingredients like avocado. I have had no problems with leaking. If I unscrew the top for anything while there is something inside, I wipe around the opening of the jar and also around the inside of the lid to be sure they are clean. Then I put the top back on. The top should screw on comfortably and completely. If not, the threads may not be lined up properly. Unscrew it and turn it *backwards* a few times until you feel the threads "clear" eachother with a little click. Then reverse your direction without shifting the angle and it should go on smoothly and tightly. To clean I fill it with warm soapy water for a while and then close it and give it a few shakes - then pour out through the top to loosen up stuck-on dressing. After doing that a couple of times I put both pieces on the top rack of the dishwasher. It comes out clean with no residual salad-dressing smell.

I bought this shaker when my third or fourth Good Seasons shaker broke, and I didn’t want to replace it with the same old breakable product. An Amazon search for a new dressing shaker led me to this product. Even though the shaker was about twice the price of replacing my Good Seasons one, I decided to give it a whirl with the thought that maybe this shaker would last longer than two years. It’s only been about a month, but I love this shaker! First of all, the wide mouth of the container makes it easy to make dressing and wash the container between uses. I don’t get left with spice scum at the bottom like I did with my old bottle. The open/close lever flips back and forth easily, and the mechanism seems like it will not break down easily. Finally, I was worried that the screw-close mechanism of the shaker would leak, but not at all! I can shake the salad dressing with abandon without flinging oil and vinegar all over the place. If you are looking for a salad dressing shaker that is leak-proof, easy to clean, and simple to open and close, this is the jam!

Recently, my wife and I had discussed using mason jars as dressing shakers. She took an interest and found the Oxo shaker through Reddit, alongside a boatload of positive stories and reviews. I decided to take a chance on it, considering I have 3-4 OXO products, and they're all solid. Well, except for a loose handle on my lasagna turner... Fortunately, the salad shaker has no loose parts. The stopper stays in place nice and tight, and the lid unscrews and seals with ease. The plastic is durable (I've dropped it a couple o' times) and, most importantly, doesn't absorb scents. I've been using highly acidic and often smelly ingredients (pulverized anchovy, etc) for months without issue. It's dishwasher safe, which is a nice little bonus. •• Thick Dressings •• As some reviewers have noted, the space between the stopper isn't huge. It's about the size of my pinky fingertip. If you like thick chunks of cheese or fruit directly in your dressing, this shaker won't work. I mean, it can accommodate smaller things within reason. I don't quite understand people saying they have trouble with thicker dressings. If it's too thick to come out, you're eating glue, not salad dressing. Don't know what else to tell ya. On that note, it pours very nicely. This is one of its strengths over a mason jar. You can be accurate in the event that you don't want excess spillage. •• Conclusion •• The verdict is... this salad shaker is great. It's easy to use, simple to clean, and a delight to have in my kitchen. Viva la salads!

Amazing for salad dressing

材料全部をいれて蓋をすればどんなに振り回しても安心なシェイカーです。上のポッチを倒して出来上がったドレッシングをサラダにかけます。 手が全然汚れません。暑いお湯と洗剤で丸洗いすればいつもカラッとした状態が保てます。ガラスじゃないから倒しても割れないしテーブルに出しておいても所帯じみないところもいい。全ていい。

Really delighted with this. I make my own dressings and this is perfect for mixing and serving. I think I’ll get a couple more so that I can have a variety on the go at once.
