Will the waist side pocket with an iPhone 6 Plus?

No, it won't. I have an iPhone 6+ with the Apple case and you can't get the phone in the side pocket let alone zip it closed. But there's another small pocket on the back of the pack just above the Osprey table that works perfectly. I think Osprey suggests this is the place to store your sunglasses, but I use it for my iPhone and my wallet. My keys go in the big back pocket where there's a dedicated key chain. So if you hook your keys on the key chain and zip the pocket closed you aren't going to lose your keys. But like I said, my iPhone and my wallet are easily stored in the smaller back pocket...the one just above the Osprey label.

The photos of the "fossil grey" are very different on Osprey's website. Amazons photos show a dark, greenish grey. Anybody seen one in person?

I recently saw this pack at a store in Colorado Springs and it was the nicer color that Amazon's website shows, not the same color as the Osprey website. At least, I like the darker grey on Amazon.

I can not return this item without paying the shipping fee it seems!!! Is that really how Osprey through Amazon works?

I already bought one through rei, so I knew what I was buying. There has to be something wrong with the product or sent the wrong one to forego shipping fees
