Bosch Universal Plus Stand Mixer 500 Watt, 6.5 Quarts with Wire, Dough Hook & NutriMill Dough Hook Extender Bundle

I almost bought this machine two years ago, it looked like a good machine and was from a good manufacturer (Bosch). Before buying this item check the price, two years ago it was only around £250.00 it is now priced at almost £1000. This looks very dodgy to me, machines of that price are semi commercial and heavy duty, this is just a domestic product, way overpriced here. Look elsewhere.

This unit is very well made, easy to add ingredients, autolyse in the bowl with the cover and then knead large batches for 6-7 minutes. No problem developing strong gluten with this unit. If you're going to bake a lot, I recommend investing in this unit over Kitchenaid type mixers with the dough hook based on my research because its heavy duty and excels at mixing bread dough in large batches without jumping around. The machine remains solidly mounted with the suction cups to my cabinet mixing stand when mixing on speed 2. The bowl and all components are easy to clean with water and a little soap.

I had a $500 KitchenAid stand mixer that I used for a little over a year, and after making a small batch of bread dough the gears broke. I'm an avid home baker, and I needed something tough and reliable that wasn't going to wimp out right after the 1 year warranty expired like the KitchenAid did. This Bosch has mixed everything from bread dough, cake batter, cookie dough, and whipped cream to perfection. The splash guard works great, it gives me easy access to add ingredients instead of moving the tilt head multiple times. The motor isn't as noisy as the other stand mixers, and this baby has more than enough power to mix the stiffest doughs with ease. I have found it much easier to clean than other stand mixers, but what impresses me the most is how powerful it is. I've been baking for 40+ years, and I've never come across a stand mixer that can outperform this. It was an expensive investment for me but it's worth every penny. I highly recommend this!!

I absolutely love this mixer

I love everything about this mixer. My own issue is, it is easier to empty if there is a handle especially if it's dough to remove. Another thing that is soooo difficult for me is the center tube. I struggle removing the dough. I believe because of my size, strength & old. I wish the tube is not there, it would be a piece of cake to pull out the dough, like the Kitchen Aid. It is easy to clean, bowl is large. I love the looks especially the color. A little noise but should be normal due to the motor. It's stable enough until I turned it to the highest speed. I have to hold unto it so it will not go anywhere. Other that all that, I love this machine. I hope someday the tube in the center will be gone but then, I probably will be too.
