WD-40 Specialist Fast-Acting Carb/Throttle Body Cleaner

Works well and there’s plenty to clean many throttle bodies!

I have always been a loyal brand person for my chemicals. I know with most brands, you get what you pay for, having been involved on the technical side of that field for a long time. So I have always used that popular brand that makes the beloved Brake Cleaner product. Well, I ordered it 3 times and it didn't ship, then the price went up. So, having always also used WD40 for years, I gave it a shot! My car has 2 throttle bodies. The air boxes were never properly sealed because of an out of sight tab that was broken. The other brand may have gotten me through both of them. WD40 got me through 2 nasty throttle bodies and I still have more than enough for the Sequoia and then some. It worked great, as good as any other brands. It was a few dollars less than any other brands. It's relatively outperformed any other brands. It works great 👍

I've used this for cleaning carburetors and small engine parts and it works very well. It cuts through old fuel residue, varnish, grease, and buildup quickly without requiring a lot of scrubbing. The spray has enough pressure to help flush debris out of small passages and other hard-to-reach areas, which makes carburetor cleaning much easier. It evaporates quickly and doesn't leave everything covered in an oily residue afterward. I've had good results with it on small engine repairs and it's something I like to keep on hand in the shop.

Good product

My lawnmower would not start. I could feed fuel directly into the intake and it would start and run for 5 seconds. I removed the carburator and cleaned everything the first time with this cleaner spray, put it back together, and I saw some improvement. I cleaned the carburator a second time with the same WD-40 carburator cleaner and now it starts in a 1-5 pulls everytime. Before, no amount of pulls would get the fuel to flow through the carburator and get it to start. This is a cheap $200 yard machines mower, but I don't have to go buy a new mower anymore. YES!! VICTORY!! I recommend spraying all the carburator and throttle body parts down 2-3 times. Do not use without eye protection!! Yes, this product has reduced blowback but will get you in the eyes if you are not super careful. Better to be safe than sorry! PS. This mower was actually my neighbors mower. They gave up on it and left it on the side of the street with a "free" sign stuck to it. Now I'm up $195!

It cleaned the throttle body on my F150 pretty well.
