Get a pair of these before spending big bucks on "prescription" hearing aids not too bad
Let me begin with a small confession. When my primary care doctor noticed some hearing loss at my annual physical, I did what responsible, mature adults do. I went to the ENT. I nodded thoughtfully. I sat through the testing. I agreed that yes, perhaps the world had grown slightly muffled. What I did not realize was that the follow-up appointment was less โmedical consultationโ and more โluxury automotive sales experience,โ except instead of a German sedan, we were discussing hearing aids priced somewhere between five and six thousand dollars. They were small. They were discreet. They were technologically impressive. They were also the cost of a respectable used car. I tried them. I blinked at the quote. I decided to wait. A friend of mine mentioned he had purchased a set of low-cost, over-the-counter hearing aids for under a hundred dollars and was perfectly satisfied. Naturally, I was skeptical. I assumed the difference would be night and day. It was not. These inexpensive hearing aids use a built-in DSP chip that enhances speech and reduces background noise. Are they miracle devices? No. But in actual day-to-day life, they amplify conversations, make television dialogue clearer, and significantly reduce the โwhat did you say?โ factor. The dreaded whistling and squeaking is minimal. Voices are noticeably more intelligible. And here is the surprising part: in practical use, they work about as well as the high-priced ones I tested. The expensive pair was smaller. Yes. More refined. Certainly. But the improvement in performance was not proportional to the additional several thousand dollars. These also function as Bluetooth earbuds. That means I can stream calls, music, or podcasts directly to them. So instead of looking like someone wearing medical devices, I look like everyone else walking around with earbuds in. Which, frankly, is most of the population. The irony is delightful. The premium hearing aids I tried were tiny and discreet, but unmistakably โhearing aids.โ These, while slightly larger, blend right into modern life. People assume you are listening to a podcast. Or ignoring them. Both are socially acceptable. Comfort is better than expected. They are lightweight, come with multiple ear dome sizes, and once seated properly, they are stable. The battery life is excellent. Around eighteen hours on a charge, with a quick recharge time and a charging case that even includes a basic dehumidification function. That matters if you live somewhere warm or wear them all day. Controls are simple. One button manages volume levels and noise reduction modes. No app required. No complicated programming session. Just adjust and go. Are these perfect? No. They are not as miniature as the $5,000 options. The materials feel consumer-grade rather than medical-device-grade. Fine tuning is limited to preset modes rather than custom audiologist calibration. But here is the essential question: Are they worth trying before you sign a multi-thousand-dollar contract? Absolutely. For moderate age-related hearing loss, these have been more than adequate. Conversations are clearer. Television is enjoyable without blasting the volume. Phone calls are intelligible. And I did not have to finance them. If you are in that awkward in-between stage, where hearing is diminished but not catastrophic, it makes tremendous sense to test an affordable OTC solution first. You may find, as I did, that the difference between hundreds and thousands is not nearly as dramatic as you were led to believe. And if nothing else, you will look less like a patient and more like someone deeply immersed in a podcast about modern culture. That alone is worth something.

Works great, bought another!
This worked so well that I bought another for my brother! I have the more costly professional ones that costs thousands but didn't have bluetooth capabilities and just needed some simple alternatives for listening to music and can easily switch to hearing mode without having to switch devices. I've tried many in the pasts even the more expensive ones that supposedly works like these, but returned them all because the sound amplification made it harder for me to hear and keep up with conversations since it amplified background noise more than speech. I'm happy that I finally found something that works well enough for me to keep up with conversations. Compared to my professional ones, I'd say these worked 50% as good in quiet environments, and might even be better than my professional ones in noisy environments because it doesn't pick up as much background noise. Perhaps it's better at suppressing the background noise. I was also concerned with the earplug style because those tends to make your own voice sound awkward when speaking. I guess, because the earplugs are very thin, it doesn't create the box effect hence my voice sounded more natural to me. I also liked that these have push buttons rather than the touch kind. My biggest issue with the touch kind is oftentimes, you had to touch it several times for it to register and that can be annoying. With these, it's a mechanical click, so it's much easier to tell. 1 weird thing about this click mode is that a quick click will switch programs rather than change volume. You have to hold the button down for about 2 seconds for it to change volume up. Operations that are done often, such as volume control, should be the quicker click. Changing programs isn't done often, so holding it down for 2 seconds to switch programs would make more sense. I also discovered an operation that wasn't in the users manual. What I noticed was that, if you disconnect the device from bluetooth while using it, you might have trouble reconnecting it after because it's not in the pairing state anymore. You have to put it back in the case, maybe wait a few seconds, then take it out. During that short period, you'll hear the prompt pairing, and that's when it'll switch back to pairing mode and will be able to connect via bluetooth again. The trick that I found was that you can switch the device to pairing mode if you double-click the buttons. If it wasn't already connected via bluetooth, it'll say pairing and enters the pairing mode, just like when you pull it out of its case. This is much more convenient than having to put it back in its case and pulling it back out again.

Best Bang for the Buck
This set of hearing aids is generally terrific! The amplified sound is clear, loud enough once adjusted. What a surprise to find a coupon inside the package to activate the "Lifetime Warranty". Now, I wish there was a website to read what is covered and what is not, and additional detailed info. It would also be considered 'excellent' if the user to adjust the angle of the tail with respect to the behind-the-ear portion of the aids. MUCH better than anything Aud*** offers!

Couldn't be more happier of the conversations I will be able to hear now ....
Long review , but I am 41 years old and have trouble with hearing since my late 20's . On count of money situation in today's society , I couldn't afford to go to ear doctors and spend hundreds maybe even thousands on a hearing exam and aids . On count of that I always felt like I was missing out on conversations , and knew people would get frustrated because I was constantly asking what they said , or they would have to say my name 4-5 times louder each time until I finally heard them , and I know it was aggravating to them because it was aggravating to me and really made me put myself down because of it. It had gotten to be so bad that I would rather stay home then go out with friends or family because deep down I always felt like I was being left out on the conversations because somebody would ask me something and I would have to apologise and just shake my head , because I couldn't really understand what they were saying . What hurt me the most not being able to hear is having a beautiful little smart 6 year old son , and he really didnt understand why I could hardly understand him and probably thought I was ignoring him half the time and he would say mommy I was talking to you and I would have to apologize to him for not hearing him and let him know that mommy wasn't ignoring him , I just didn't hear him and it broke my heart because I was literally missing out on conversations with my son also . So , I had been hearing about over the counter hearing aids for awhile , and decided to look at reviews of different pairs , and I happen to come across these and after reading reviews and the seeing the low price , I decided why not give them a try ? Because I had gotten to the point that I was tired of missing out on conversations , I was tired of feeling like less of a person or mother because of my hearing and not being able to enjoy a conversation with my son , so I jumped the gun and bought these and as soon as I received them and after reading the users guide and everything I put them in and all I can say is the tears just started coming because as I was testing them out I stood out in the middle of my yard and I could hear my son and my husband say they loved me from our porch and the feeling was just wonderful being able to hear them that far away , and I could hear things so clearly and plainly , I could hear the birds chirping when I couldn't hardly before , unless they were right above my head and now I am actually able to hear a car coming a mile up the road before I even see it , and I was worried if they would feel heavy on my ears or they would start hurting after awhile from wearing them , but I wore them for 5 hours and my ears never hurt one time , but I love how durable they are and light weight , and my son loves them because he doesn't have to call my name 4-5 times or holler to get my attention , he even told our neighbor who is in his 60's, mommy can hear now and I couldn't stop crying just hearing the joy and happiness in his little voice and see it on his face as he said that it made me so happy and that's when our neighbor had talked to me and noticed I was actually able to understand him and he asked me where I got mine and I told him amazon , and now he is wanting to get some for his father-in-law who has hearing problems also ! I can't really stress enough how much these have changed my life in just a few minutes of putting them in and if I could have found these years ago I would have bought them then instead of waiting so long to get them , especially as long as I had , all I want to say if you are having trouble hearing like I did , Please , please don't hesitate to order these because you will not regret it , because they have changed my life in a big way and who would actually think that be able to hear can do that , let me tell you it can and I would recommend these to anyone young or old and if I could I would give these 20 stars , so please don't hesitate about getting these because you will be glad you did !

Surprised and pleased by the value
Iโve been using these hearing aids for a few weeks now, and theyโve really made a difference in my daily life. The sound quality is excellent! voices come through much clearer and more natural compared to my previous pair, and Iโve noticed far less whistling or squeaking, even in busy environments. Watching tv and having conversations is so much easier now, and I donโt feel like Iโm straining to catch every word. One of the biggest surprises was the Bluetooth feature. They double as wireless headphones, so I can take phone calls or listen to music without bothering anyone else. The call quality is crisp and clear, and it feels seamless switching between using them as hearing aids and as earbuds. The design is another plus. Theyโre compact, lightweight, and comfortable enough to wear all day without irritation. I like that they look more like regular earbuds, so it isnโt obvious that Iโm wearing hearing aids. With the different ear dome sizes, I was able to find a snug fit that stays put. Battery life is great โ I can get about 18 hours on a full charge, and the charging case gives me peace of mind since it shows how much power is left. I also appreciate that the case has a built in dehumidifier, which helps keep them dry and in good condition. Finally, theyโre incredibly user friendly. The single-button control makes it simple to adjust volume or switch between the different noise reduction modes. I like being able to fine tune the sound depending on whether Iโm in a quiet room, talking in a group, or out somewhere noisier. Overall, these hearing aids are a fantastic combination of performance, comfort, and value.

Well Worth it! Quality and Price are great!
These hearing aids work really well when you are watching TV or talking one-on-one at home or a very small gathering. In a restaurant or larger space they work too well! In a restaurant they pick up all of the conversations from other tables and dishes clanging, etc. Unfortunately, in a place like a restaurant with all of the background noise it is also hard to hear the person speaking on the other side of the table so that is where you need them the most. I only need one for my right ear but I frequently carry both and try them first when I get to the event. I am very happy with the quality and the price!!!

Good product for the price
Sound good at first test. This is the second one we bought. The first one arrived within a week. This was ordered in February and arrived April 24th.

Worth every penny!
Excellent! Comfortable and the color is nice. Nearly invisible with a little hair over them. But also still work great if you have a lot of hair covering them like myself. Worked straight out of the box- no set up for hearing aid. My hearing improvement is fantastic but not overwhelming and I donโt hear myself or have feedback. I purchased for hearing loss but the Bluetooth will be an extra bonus! Highly recommend!!
