Tangle Teezer The Ultimate Detangler Straight to Curly Hairbrush

I love this brush! My 6yo Daughter has sensory issues which make hair brushing very difficult for her (and me). I’ve bought many a brush in an attempt to make this easier for her. I bought this brush to try along with the Tangle Teezer Detangle Spray for kids as I saw some reviews for them together on here. I was a bit sceptical but it’s like I’ve found the dream team for her hair. Before these she would scream the place down at light brushing of her hair and would become quickly dysregulated. Now she actually sits and lets me brush her hair and sometimes actually enjoys it. 🤯 I let her use them on my hair first and I found it actually quite relaxing. You don't need to pull it hard through the hair, just glide it through and it works its magic. I think this is why she finds it so much easier as it doesn’t pull on her hair at all. Of course if there’s a very tangled part I have to take care but it still works well if you hold onto the top if the hair & slowly glide the brush through the tatted hair. I spray extra spray on these parts and it melts the tangle away. The sound it makes when brushing the hair is quite harsh so if buying this to try to ease sensory issues and there are any other sensory issues present that’s something to be aware of but because it sounds worse than it actually is, Ear plugs or the distraction may also be needed due to this. I like that it has a handle as many Detangle brushes don’t have them which helps to handle it better. It’s very light to hold too. The bristles are very soft too. So does not scratch on the skin or scalp. My daughter and I have very thick hair and it works on that no problem. Of course when you come across significant tats or knots you have to slow down the brushing but it handles them very well. I was concerned about the price but now I’ve tried it I think its worth the amount. Hopefully it will not break or become defective quickly or that opinion may change. It looks and feels pretty sturdy though. I would say this would be a great option for sensory issues and all round for kids and even grown ups. I use it on my hair too. It seems to make hair less frizzy after brushing than standard brushes do. I am very impressed with it. The spray: if you get that too… smells very nice. Not too strong a smell so not overpowering for sensitive noses, works especially well with the brush when the hair is wet. I’ve noticed you only need spray a little when it’s dry.

I was recommended to get a detangler hairbrush by my hairdresser and she recommended Amazon. For context I have struggled when my hairs wet because it's very long and normally other brushes have left it matted and was ripping my hair out when brushing. I have wavy hair and this has been incredible with leaving my hair smooth and tangle free. I would definitely recommend this brush!

If you look back on my reviews, you'll see that I previously said that the Wet Brush was the best brush in the world. And it was. At the time. I lighten my hair, and for the first week after each treatment, my hair is a little more prone to tangling than normal, and during this time, the Tangle Teezer is the thing that can cut through the snarls with zero pulling and no pain. (Don't get me wrong, I still love and use the Wet Brush.) Works well to remove tangles from your hair. The brush has long and sort bristles that catch the cotts and untangle them. I have long thick hair (down to my bum) prone to cotts. I have used this brush on wet and dry hair to remove these cotts and it works well, very little hair is broken. Previously I used a normal brush and it would take half an hour to get all the cotts out and was a very painful experience. With this brush however within 5 minutes the cotts are gone! The brush is very light weight. The only cons are these: its not a substitute for a normal brush, it's a cott removing tool only and should be followed with a normal brush. And secondly the bristles are very thin and bendy and after a while you ll find that some will be quite bent and the brush will need replacing. But even having said that I still think these brushes are amazing and good value for money.

Just amazing how I can use this first thing in the morning with my bed head and it smooths my hair out almost instantly without losing a handful of hair. Wish I’d bought one years ago.

I'm never disappointed by Tangle Teezer - they always pull through when it comes to the quality. This brush is lightweight but extremely effective on tough tangles, and it glides through my thick hair easily, not causing me any pain at all! I would say that this hairbrush is well worth the money since it lasts for a long time, is good quality, and is very easy to clean. This brush is also very handy for showers because you can use it to work conditioner through your hair!

Excellent brush for a mom with 2 girls with 4c afro hair. Detangling is a breeze now. I’ll state however that it is outshine by my a no name brush I bought off the other app. But I’ll see how everything goes as I use it more and more. Another thing, you may not want to use it when blow drying. The teeth are too sensitive to the heat and will bend or melt. Otherwise 10/10

My hair tangles easily, but this brush handles everything without snagging. The flexible teeth make a huge difference, especially on wet hair. It’s comfortable to use and the Liquorice Black finish looks stylish. Five stars without hesitation.

This is the best brush I've ever used for my 4C hair. Love that it has a handle. I had the original Tangle Teezer and wasn't too fond of it especially since it kept slipping out of my hand. This one has longer "teeth" and I am amazed that it almost glides through my hair. It takes me less time to detangle my hair and it stays detangled longer. There's also less shedding and breakage. It never ceases to amaze me how much less hair there is in the brush. Love the curl definition it gives me too! I think I need to order another one to travel with.

Great brush to detangle your curls in the shower with conditioner. This is a must have for curly hair girls!

I am so thankful for this hair brush! My 3yr old screaming during hair time has finally stopped since buying this brush. It is very easy to use and perfect for those with a tender head. I use it the same as any other brush but for some reason this is the only one that doesn’t hurt my daughter. I even used it only her dad who has super super coily hair and was able to detangle his hair easily and with no pain as well. I use it almost daily and it has held up well with no signs of wear. It was such a great price too, I definitely recommend this to anyone who has a young one with curly hair or even for adults! This is the only brush we use now and it has been a lifesaver.

I have been using Tangle Teezer brushes for as long as I can remember. I originally used the detangler without a handle for almost 14 years, until I decided to buy the one with the handle because I have really thick curly hair and many times I have experienced detangling my hair, the brush getting stuck on a knot and flying out of my hands 😭 I also loved the baby pink colour. Now that I have this one, I’m never going back - while this is perfect for detangling (which I only do in the shower now - curly girl tip!) I have found that this brush works best for styling for me personally. I’ve tried the Denman, I’ve tried that flex brush, but I always go back to my trusty Tangle Teezer - it separates my curls so perfectly and makes them look so smooth and pretty! Get this if you have thick curly hair, it’s so worth it as it’s so versatile!!
