Ultimate Hardware Bike Travel Luggage Hard Case

So, I bought this as I plan on taking my bike abroad to cycle. Also to bring it to the Netherlands (moved here from London and needed my ride)First impressions:The plastic feels a bit flimsy and the wheels look susceptible to damage. Nice size, shape and the wheels work very well. With there being an appropriate 'front' end of the box as the front wheels rotate 360 degrees.Upon packing my bike:Frame fits in fine and i once the handlebars,seatpost and pedals have been removed. Personally i felt more at ease using bubble wrap round the frame as well as my bike is carbon. The first thing i noticed is that when screwing the wheels into the case, the plastic warps as you tighten the fasteners, Not necessarily a problem but with wear and tear over time who knows... Also the wheels rest against each other which doesn't seem like the best design but oh well.Also the flimsiness of the case isn't apparent once it is closed and locked.Upon unpacking my bike:Bike has arrived perfectly in one piece, the case isn't damaged and everything i worried about hasn't been an issue. However this is of course only one journey.The wheel fasteners are scratched as they are on the outside of the case, so I may buy new ones and use the old ones for travel.The bike has stayed in position using the velcro straps inside,I also liked the padlockable fasteners on the outside of the case, which lets you feel secure the box wont spring open during travel.I fit a 55inch frame Orbea Orca Bronze in the box, with my cleats, helmet, and various bike accessories like a small pump and lights etc in there. There was room to spare.Overall this is a decent case for the money, relatively speaking. I think bike boxes are way overpriced considering what they are and the materials used, but this one does the job at the cheaper end of the market.

This really was good. Super impressed b by how study is was. The only issue was around the wheel attachments as this could be stronger and you have to have your quick release on the outside and its not protected. I span mine around the other way but then you have no internal support beam.

does what it says on the tin... bike now been to continent and back via carrier no problems and even easyjet took it as 'luggage' ...had a surreal conversation with the easyjet rep before I took it to the airport with me about what a bike box was but they took it as hold luggage not sporting goods result!

Ordered late Wednesday night - box arrive Friday morning! EXCELLENT service and a quality product - very robust and confident it will do the job. Oh, and a great price!

The worst bike box ever. My first one of these was smashed on its maiden voyage with easyjet and then replaced only for this to happen again on its next BA flight. The plastic is brittle and easily breakable. You get what you pay for so buy nice or buy twice. I've used several models of box prior to buying this rubbish and they've all done a good job. Stay clear of this.

almost half the price of branded alternatives but just as good, came in a dark grey colour, delighted.
