When turning the rollator to the right, you should be very careful that your right foot is not near the right wheel. When I first got my rollator, I was not aware of this danger. When I turned it to the right, the curb pedal swung to the right and hit my right foot, fracturing a bone in my foot. I have been in a boot for three weeks and have three more weeks to wear it. Hopefully, it will be healed by then. I decided that the curb pedal was too dangerous for me and I have no real need for it. However, getting rid of it was not easy. It is an integral part of the rollator, and cannot simply be removed. I finally went to a bicycle repair shop, where they took the wheel apart, took the curb pedal out, sawed off the part of the pedal that stuck out, and put the rest of the part back. I now have no pedal and am much happier with my rollator. The curb pedal was simply not worth the risk of a painful and debilitating injury.
