ChocoVision Mini Rev Chocolate Tempering Machine, 1.5 lb. Capacity

I have bought 4 new chocoVision Rev2 tempering machines in the last 25 years and recently two Mini Revs and they all have done a wonderful job. In recent years I have started my Grand Daughter , my Daughter and my Daughter in law to make fine Hand Dipped chocolates. They have all done a very fine job.

This machine really works! It makes tempering chocolate a breeze. I had never succeeded using the traditional method. I used this machine with 300g Valhona 61% chocolate and can cover a 24-pieces chocolate mold. The products look very shiny and store-bought.

This is absolutely unacceptable, I have used this 3 times for for approximately 35 candies since I bought it at Christmas 2019 yes just a little more than a month ago, there is a known issue with this I see now that I have to spend $57.00 to replace this baffle. AMAZON pay attention you need to credit me for this cost today because nobody will be happy if I have to call you to be reimbursed .

I like this machine. it's easy to operate, control and clean. with dark chocolate it work perfect, only thing when I used chocolate chips, they are "jump" to other section, which for melted chocolate, so i have to stop, clean everything and put block of chocolate, and somehow the temperature sensor beeps before all chocolate melt (not a cooling process). but in a end chocolate was perfect and my bonbons got nice shine. when I worked with white chocolate (Belgium) chocolate was not temper proper, because bonbons was not get shine and been little melting in hands. next time i will be checking actual temperature in machine myself, to see if this sensor not do it right. but in general I satisfy with it.

All the other reviews are right, this is completely average. During the melt phase, the chocolate pieces always climb out of the bowl (although this is not an issue once the pieces are melted or when seed chocolate is added during the temper phase), so I have to stand there with a spatula to keep it all in. Also, the arm has detached during every single batch I've made after my initial try with the machine, so invest in a large binder clip to keep it from wiggling out. Keep in mind I've never put more than 8 ounces of chocolate in the machine at one time. So if you don't mind babysitting it, it works fine. The engine is pretty loud, too. Too bad there aren't any other machines of comparable price or I would have bought one of those. The same complaints have been made in the comments about this machine for years, but it doesn't seem like the manufacturer is interested in correcting the design flaws. As far as the actual temper of the chocolate goes, it's satisfactory, but did leave unmelted seed chocolate in one of my batches.

Works great, I don't know what everyone is complaining about. Simple. Just don't overfill it, then the chocolate leaks over the sides and gets in the works of the machine. Even then, you can just take it apart by unscrewing the bottom and clean it out.

The first one I received the box was considerably banged up inside the Amazon box. I didn't even open it and Amazon replaced it promptly, as their service is always top rate. I had a replacement in two days. It worked great the first day even though it seemed a bit noisy. But the 2nd time I used it the metal bowl would not rotate correctly. It would rotate once or twice then it stop moving. You can hear it rotating underneath but the bowl's bottom pegs won't stay in the holes in the rotating base. I had high hopes for this machine. I'm very disappointed. I called the company to see if there was some trouble shooting I could do and they said since I bought it through Amazon and not through them, I had to deal directly with Amazon. Oh well, I guess I'll send the defective machine back and give my business to a different company other than ChocoVision.

Works well doesn’t keep the chocolate as warm as I thought. But overall works well.
