The airplane toy is for my 8 year old great grandson for Christmas. I have not opened it yet but it looks like it will be lots of fun for him to build and play with all the items included.

My son loved this airplane logo a lot. It took a him around 7 hours to finish it! Recommend.

This is a cool set and pretty big. My autistic teenage son had a lot of fun building it and did it very quickly. It’s highly detailed, and the door opens up. The bricks are about the same size as Lego’s; I haven’t tried mixing them. Turned out well.

Highly frustrational for a 9 year old. The bags were not organized to follow along with the book. The pieces did not fit well together and caused a lot of tears in making. I finally told her to stop and walk away.

My grandson stayed up and built the plane in less than an hour. He absolutely loves it!

The pieces are very hard to get to stick together which made it tough for my sonme to.

At the time of this writing - early November 2024 - this is an amazing kit for the listed price of $39.99CDN! It has so many small extras in the kit, it so well thought out, there is a whole lot of fun just putting this model together, let along all the play fun once construction is done! It is very impressive! I love the instructions! Why? Because they are universal in language and in reading. You could be older gentleman in Japan or a younger girl in Sweden - the point is you don't even need to be able to read! You just follow along in the very clear visual pictures, and you can see how the parts all come together. It is really quite brilliant! As some of the pieces are quite small, Sluban has grouped many related bits, together. For example, there is one clear plastic bag that is all people. Another bag market with a number "1", has several bits of the plane, and all the side window pieces. You don't need to wade through all 463 pieces to find the one you are looking for! All the bits and pieces are beautifully made. The molding is as good as it gets - anywhere for anyone. The connections are tight and firm. "Yes", you certainly can remove bits after they are together to make new things or modify existing items, and you can do this removal with the included alligator. That's right - a special tool that let's you take apart bits without removing your fingernail in the process. The colours are bright and through-and-through. There is no paint to wear off. Many pieces are standard "blocks", but there are also many pieces that are custom made , such at the front of the airplane. Blocks would not give the aircraft a sleek, modern look, so the cockpit is made with custom "cockpit parts". A bit of a cheat, I suppose, but later that same front could be the front of a new rocket ship or deep sea craft! That's the great idea behind these kits - you can just keep on inventing, re-building and re-imagining - all with the same bits and pieces! This kit give you six adult figures, one child, one amazing 4-jet engine aircraft and three ground support vechicles! Bottom Line - Well, it pretty obvious I really like this kit! Excellent value in terms of price! An unlimited amount of quality play! I think the "recommended age" of about 6 years old is correct. I think you need some strength in your hands and the ability to interpret visual plans into scale models.

My 6 year old master-builder had a little difficulty following the instructions, but we got it done. There are some design/build choices here that make this plane more fragile than it needs to be, but that's not a huge problem.

Tiny peices do not click in easily or well.
