Developed a heartbreaking tomato allergy a few years back, and I really miss plain old raw tomatoes, spaghetti and pizza sauces, and other tomato-based condiments like most barbecue and taco sauces, A1, Heinz 57, Russian/Catalina salad dressing, etc.For tomato-free hot/spicy sauces, I've been mostly content with Frank's Red Hot, gochujang, sriracha, and Tabasco sauce -- but sometimes I want more variety.Have not yet tried all of the Hoff product line, but their "Mean Green" sauce, and their "Chipotle Lime Dang" sauce, have been tasty additions to my abbreviated list of tomato-free condiments.

This is delicious and I often share with friends and family, who quickly love it, too!

This is my husband's favorite of all the sauces! He can't be without it. He even carries it to restaurants with him.

***EDIT*** not sure why the price of this sauce has jumped by 11$, the sauce is great but 27$ for a 6 oz bottle has me moving in to Sauce Bae or Melinda's for now. Shame to because smoking ghost was so unique and tasty but as much sauce as I use, this isn't worth the price tag. Dropping 1 star.Original review below......This sauce is fantastic... now I will say. It is very different from your basic vinegary salty generic hot sauce such as Frank's or Tabasco. This sauce is unique in flavor, has some good heat to it for sure and goes well on just about anything I threw it on. The sauce alone has a deep smoke tone flavor as well as a tang such as A1 that made me think maybe it wasn't that good but after putting it on multiple kinds of foods. I'm convinced and sold on this priduct and will most likely be a lifetime customer. Definitely not for people who struggle with spicy foods but isn't so hot that it'll ruin your food. Hoff has found a good balance between flavor and heat with their sauces and im happy to be a customer

Little pricey but worth every penny. Teary eyed hot and great flavor for that amount of spice. Gonna buy their hottest next order.

I use it on slabs of ribs, Mexican food, and just about everything else except cottage cheese.

Not too spicy but I like it
