After having knee surgery, these knee pads are very helpful on my knee when doing anything where I have to kneel. They are nice and thick, but not hard.

My yoga mat is thin so I doubled it up with another mat, but working out on my knees was still to difficult. I bought a set of these knee pads, and it increased my comfort so much that I decided to buy a second set. I can now do a particular exercise I wanted to do to target my midsection. The second pads I have used to rest my elbows on. They do slip a bit during use on my carpet, but I am putting them between the edges of my 2 yova mats to reduce that slippage for the specific move I am doing. I love the purple color. It matches my yoga mat well.
