I've bought these delicious chips a total of four times now and I've always bought two bags each. Where I live on the west coast you can never find this flavor with ripples aka ridges. All I can find Sour Cream & Onion in is regular Lay's. They don't even carry them in the Ruffles brand at all. So every few months or so I'll get online and see if I can find these at a decent price here on Amazon, and I can usually get a couple of bags for less than six dollars. If you love this flavor then you will no doubt want to buy these chips. They are honestly the best Sour Cream and Onion ones I've ever ate. Unlike some of the other reviewers I've never had an issue with shipping. My bags have always been shipped inside a box (maybe because I bought more than one at a time) and they've never been opened either, though I've had other kinds arrive popped open which I've heard can happen when flown at high elevations. The first couple of purchases I made were fine, but the last two times they reached me with a shelf life of only 7-10 days left. On the plus side they were still fresh tasting even though the second bag was expired by a week or so when we finally opened them. There was no staleness thankfully, but please be aware that if you buy them here there is a good chance they'll be near to expiring. For that reason I knocked off one star but otherwise they're great =)

I LOVE Herr's chips. The Sour Cream & Onion are one of my favorite chip of all-time, hands down. However, the distribution and management of this is ATROCIOUS. I placed and order for 3 bags. All 3 were expired over a month, and one was already opened. This is actually a pretty big problem. Yes, it's "just chips," but you can't just continue to sell long expired foods, and this appears to be a recurring problem. Imagine you went into a physical retailer, and bought milk and it was expired over a month. Then, you went to return it and the retailers said "we don't do returns." Amazon initially refused my return in product support, so I had to go to customer service. This should be escalated at how Amazon and Herr's distributors (among others) maintain their supply-chain delivery.

I used to work at ollies bargain outlet on the east coast and fell in love with Herrs. These were my favourite. Moved to Texas and found them on Amazon and was so excited... unfortunately the new bags are just not the same and not nearly as flavorful as they used to be. Ill stick with the bay seasoning flavour!
