The Ove Glove - Superior Heat & Flame Hand Protection - Pack of 1 Oven Mitt

The ove glove is the only oven glove I use while cooking. I have used many times and they still work just as well as when I bought them. They are a decent size and the material stretches so they can fit pretty much anybody. They are made from a thick, strong material so you can feel how great the quality is and know that you can touch the hot pans and not get burned. You can cook, grill, and bake pretty much anything with these gloves because the fingers are separated unlike in regular oven mits and there is little grips on them so it is easier to grab and use your hands and fingers to cook. I have washed and dried them a couple of times and they are still strong and i don't feel the heat while using them. After using these I will never use anything else, these are my go to kitchen glove.

This is the best oven mitt ever invented. It’s comfortable and I’ve never been burned using it. I would recommend this to everyone.

This works really well. Better than a bulky mitt! Glad I bought it. It fits well and it's nice and thick.

I've been using 'Ove' Gloves since they first showed up, and have learned the hard way with other kitchen pads why Ove Gloves are superior. Have also given them as gifts. I haven't used my new one yet, but compared to the one I pulled from a pile, it is slightly larger, especially in the wrist cuff. BUT--it absolutely is still an Ove Glove. It has a cotton/poly inner lining, and the outside is still heat resistant fibers. (My old ones are Kevlar, the new one is Aramid, which is the name of the family Kevlar belongs to, or so Wikipedia reports.) Still Silicone lines for superior gripping. Even slightly large, I will stick with Oves, because the point is, it is a barrier protection against both grabbing something hot, and accidentally brushing against the rack or edge of the stove/door. I tried lifting a cast iron pan with only a decorative kitchen pad, once, and that was a painful mistake. I would not bother with a knockoff Ove glove, because--does the knockoff have real Silicone stripes? Is its outer surface Aramid/Kevlar? Also--if you have arthritis but your hand is still strong, the Ove glove being so relaxed and floppy means it can accommodate any shift in how you grip things. Just be sensible about how much weight you can handle. If they go back to having a Medium and a Large, I'll buy the Medium. But better an Ove Glove than any competitor or imitator. Just remember--never use when wet!

I really like these mitts. The only issue is you better move fairly quick bc the heat will come through eventually.

Great glove that works and looks good. They will get grungy over time if you’re not careful, but that’s the only reason I replace the pair. Usually have one grungy pair for sloppy jobs, and one clean pair for show and daily normal use.

I don’t know why I’ve been using a cheap oven mitt all these years! I bought this because I started baking sourdough and wanted something that wasn’t a mitt and was more of a glove stale that would allow me to grab things out of the oven easier. It’s a good think material and i’ve no issues with heat getting though and I use a flat cast iron plate for all my bread baking. My only argument is that I have to buy two when it would be nice to get two for this price.

This is the pack of one glove but they are also sold in a pack of two. I already had one I've used for several years so I bought this single glove to go with it for the times I need to use both hands. (An Ove Glove is the same on both sides so it will fit either hand.) They are roomy but still work fine with my small hands. They work like a good potholder but with a better grip, and protect the back of your hand and wrist. Like a regular potholder, the heat will begin to come through after a minute or two but they work well for kitchen, BBQ, etc. uses. They are also easy to use with a regular potholder if you need to hold something hot for a longer time; much easier than trying to hold two regular potholders together. The new glove I received (sold by Joseph Enterprises and shipped from Amazon) seems identical to my old Ove Glove, except the outer material seems a little looser knit, but that may be because my old one has been washed a few times. Unlike what some buyers experienced, my new one has the same tag and hanging loop just inside the wrist, and the packaging looks legit. Joseph Enterprises is the original manufacturer of the Ove Glove so they are a legit seller. Ove Gloves can be machine washed and air dried; don't use bleach or fabric softener. The package doesn't state this but there was a small paper insert with washing directions. They get excellent ratings on Consumer Reports and are a useful kitchen item. I've also ordered the pack of two to give for a gift.

This is my second set of 2 my last ones I’ve had for many years but finally thought they were should be replaced. They never let heat through great protection and I throw them in the washer

I bought 2 pairs in case one was air drying after being washed. Best oven gloves/mitts I have ever used. Very heat resistant and with the grips nothing will slip out of your hands. Elaine
