Ho acquistato il modello Hulkman Alpha PRO 1.750 A (59,2 W), dopo aver visto le recensioni di decine di avviatori nella fascia di prezzo dai 50 ai 200 euro circa. Dalla qualità del materiale di cui è composto si capisce subito di avere a che fare con uno strumento professionale; anche i morsetti sono decisamente di qualità: le pinze stringono fortemente e i cavi sono molto spessi. In dotazione è previsto anche un adattatore tipo “accendisigari” (da utilizzare per esempio per il compressore d’aria portatile per auto), un cavetto di ricarica tipo C e una sacca per contenere il tutto. Consiglio di comprare una custodia specifica per conservarlo meglio in auto; la custodia dedicata Hulkman, dalle immagini sembra molto buona, ma io ne ho acquistata una economica (e si adatta comunque benissimo). L’avviatore ha la torcia integrata, funzionalità sempre utile in caso di necessità. Non l’ho ancora utilizzato come avviatore di emergenza, ma mi riservo di aggiornare questa recensione non appena me ne capiterà l’occasione, anche perché è il motivo principale per cui l’ho acquistato. Al momento l’ho solo testato come power bank. L’ho scaricato completamente per vedere se funzionava ancora, in quanto secondo alcune recensioni, ci sono avviatori che hanno dato problemi a seguito azzeramento totale della potenza… Qui tutto ok! Quando è arrivato al 30% della potenza ha cominciato a lampeggiare l’indicatore della percentuale… probabilmente per avvisare che la carica si stava esaurendo. Si ricarica molto velocemente: l’ho ricaricato con un mio alimentatore da 45 w e ci ha impiegato 1 ora e 25 minuti per portarlo da zero al 100%. E’ presumibile che con l’alimentatore dedicato Hulkman da 65 w, si scenda ulteriormente di tempo (non ho potuto testarlo perché è un accessorio opzionale, che non ho acquistato). Testata come power bank… Al 100% della potenza, ricarica circa 4 cellulari “standard” Android; mi aspettavo di meglio considerando la grandezza dell’avviatore (la mia power bank da 10.000 mah fa di meglio). Effettua comunque ricariche super veloci: non appena collegato, il cellulare mi ha segnalato “turbo power connesso”. Non è un avviatore booster economico, ma il materiale e i sistemi di protezione dichiarati mi fanno pensare che abbia fatto un buon acquisto; ma per esserne sicuro dovrò sperimentare la sua funzione principale: far partire un’autovettura con la batteria a terra!

Jumping a card has became a process. This one takes the confusion out of performing a jump on a new car with all the electronics. Just hook it up and it tells you when you are ready to start your car. I have only owned it for a short time so unsure about the life of the battery. They recommend you charge it every 3 - 6 months. Unsure what keeping in a cold truck or car will do to the battery life.

It is a very well made and very effective starter aid.

I've tried several different brands of jumpstarters for my CTS. And none of them worked to start the car except for this one. This one is the real deal. You can buy with confidence.

Standout Features: • Super easy to use - No messing about with buttons or settings just plug in the cables to the jump box then connect to the battery - a green "Ready" will appear on the screen. Super simple I'm sure anyone without experience with jumping a battery would have no problem using this jump box. • Cables & Clamps - the cables are good 6awg cable with strong clamps. If I were too nit pick it would have been nice to have a jumper lead connecting both sides of the clamp opposed to relying on the construction of the clamp to carry the current to the opposing clamp side. • Protection and Safeties - Are built into the jump box opposed to on the cables this means the cables dont have that large box on them like with so many manufactures - this makes storing the jump box a lot nicer. • Built Quality - The case, screen, connections, port covers etc.... are excellent. Dislikes: - For the physical size the 44Wh capacity is smaller than expected - While I understand with the built-in reverse polarity protection built inside the case opposed to being on the cable lead will make the case larger - I still feel that the capacity is a bit under for the physical size. Value Per Dollar (VPD): (Excellent, Good, Average, Poor) - I rate the VPD at "good" based on the cost compared to similar offerings, quality of the build, and standout features. Recommendations: • For someone who has no experience on jump starting - Its simple & foolproof to use. • For someone looking for a quality jump starter - yes you can find lower cost options but it's been my experience you get what you pay for with these jump starters. If your going to keep a jump starter in your car or truck its nice to know its been safety tested and build well. • Not Recommended for voltage sensitive power sports and vintage motorcycles. The jump starter uses 4 Li-po cells each at 4.3volts at fully charged which is a combined voltage output of 16.8vdc which can be a little over voltage for some rectifiers on vintage motorcycles. My Use Case - Final Thoughts: I have 2 other Hulkman products - the "Sigma 1" battery chargers/maintainers I use on my motorcycles. As well I have recommended them to family, friends, and on MC forums. The quality of Hulkman products in my experience has been great. This jump box is no different great quality. It would be nice to see Hulkman come out with a power sports jump box either in a 3-cell Li-po or better yet a 4-cell LiFePo4 offering - something that can be easily be packed for adventure motorcycle travel.
