These are some of the best reels for the money.

I’m 70 years old and have purchased at least 40 or 50 different kinds of reels and poles over the years! And I rarely write a review but I felt like I should write a review for this reel. I purchased the 2000 size reel and put in on a ultralight Uglystik with 6 pound line, wow the reel is smooth and the part I really like is the bail clicks right back effortlessly, no fighting with it or nothing .. just a nice solid click. I like the drag too it’s sensitive and sounds like a drag should when you have a fish on …the drag makes that characteristic old school drag sound , I love it! I’ve spent $200 on a couple reels before and honestly I like this one better, I’m not saltwater fishing just local ponds with small bass and crappie are a lot of fun to catch with this set up. The reel even looks expensive and feels like it’s expensive too, the bail itself is kinda hurkey not flimsy looking and I like that too. Great reel for $20 bucks. I ordered another one for a spare I liked it that much!

Works perfectly great. Put some 40 lb braided line works like charm. No issues whatsoever On my Shakespeare ugly stick 6ft also 40lb tested. Dial very sensitive & clicks beautifully bought for saltwater intentions. Get to be used for fresh water & It's also a Sougayilang brand so if you like this one, you'll like other ones review made on year 2026. Enjoy safe fishing!

GREAT REEL! Durable, looks fancy, vibrant red color, smooth bearings. Fits well on a 7’ medium heavy pole.

Very smooth operating real. Unfortunately the extra spool that comes with it did not fit.

Bought the 1000 size reel. Out of the box reel was okay smooth. Not the greatest, but okay smooth, what i expect from the price point. What really annoyed me was the handle moved left and right a little. Felt loose, back and forth. I took it apart and cleaned, re-lubed and added a plastic washer under handle. This fixed the handle issue, but reel was still okay smooth. Took it to the local lake for some sea trials. Worked fine, cast fine, reeled in fine but the drag was a killer. Drag is not smooth, as you pull it its loose then tight then loose then tight then loose then tight and so and so on. Doesn't matter what the tension knob is set at. Ill play with the drag washers to see if i can get them to pull smoothly. But whatever I got a fishing reel for less the 75 nightcrawlers.

Very good for the price 👍🏻

Well first impressions are great. It comes with an extra spool which is great. I was shocked how smooth it was. I plan to use this reel for ice fishing. the good thing is I can use it for Jigging or swap out the spool and add some 30lb brade and attach some big bait for flag fishing.I will update this when I Get out on the ice.

Over priced the spare wheel is very low quality and the gear is plastic
