These compression packing cubes have been very convenient for travel and do a great job keeping my suitcase organized. I travel frequently for work, and having everything neatly separated makes packing and unpacking much easier. The compression feature is decent, though I wouldn’t say it gives anywhere near the “up to 50% more space” that’s advertised. That said, it definitely helps reduce bulk and free up some room. I usually roll my clothes, which already adds some compression, so the benefit is more incremental—but still useful. The material feels sturdy and well made. I’ve been using these cubes for a few months now with no issues, broken zippers, or wear. Overall, they’re a great option for frequent travelers, especially if organization is your top priority.

One won't have any way to compress clothing, and acts like a fabric box. The second, which is the type of packing cube that this Aerotrunk bag is, offers compression through the use of a zipper that runs along the outside of the bag. This type of compression is extremely handy, since it allows you to fill the bag with clothing comfortably, and then once the opening is secured, you can flatten everything out. You can save quite a bit of space by using a packing cube like this one, but not all are created equally. Cheap compression packing cubes typically have weak zippers and use thin fabric that tears with repeated use. These Aerotrunk bags are made using much more durable materials, but this does add a tiny bit of extra weight. The zippers, while not ultra heavy duty, work smoothly and effectively. While these packing cubes are excellent quality, they are lacking a few features. For one, there's no gab handle on either bag. While this might seem like a small omission, I find that handles make it easier to pull these out of something like a backpack. Another thing is there are no pull tabs to help with zipping it up. It's a small touch that would make a huge difference to usability. Still, I do like the overall quality, so my rating is going to be high.
