FIVKLEMNZ 30 Cubic Rooftop Cargo Carrier Waterproof Soft Car Roof Bag

This was AMAZING!!!! We drove with this from Mississippi to San Diego, CA and it survived through bright sunlight, through desert heat and heavy rain. It's very spacious, we were able to fit a backpack, an XL dog kennel, a medium size dog kennel, two xl size bags with blankets, sheets and pillows and a large garment bag in ours. We took it down from our vehicle the first day on our road trip and had no issues with putting it back on our vehicle again. It did not slide around and there wasn't really any noise coming from it. Occasionally you will hear tapping, but it wasn't worrisome or disruptive. One of the front right straps broke on our last day of travel (5 day road trip), but you didn't really need it because it was still able to strap down perfectly fine. And there was a few tiny spots of tear from debris on the road, but it was still worth it. This product fit our 2015 Ford Escape perfectly! We felt safe driving with it. We even saw other vehicles driving with this item too which was cool. Don't think twice. Seriously, you WON'T regret it! It's spacious, waterproof, weatherproof and easy to install.

DISCLAIMER: I NEVER write reviews. Seriously, I’m the person who buys something and almost never goes back to review it. But after our family road trip, I felt like I had to write one because this cargo bag genuinely made our vacation possible. Like a lot of people, I was very wary about putting a soft cargo bag on the roof of my car filled with all of our personal belongings and then driving highway speeds for hours. I read a ton of reviews beforehand, including people complaining about noise from the straps, movement, etc., so I was definitely nervous. I had ZERO issues. It was incredibly easy to put on, easy to secure, easy to load our luggage into, and just as easy to take off when we arrived. We had no annoying strap noise, no shifting around, and no problems with our belongings. It held a ridiculous amount of stuff and freed up the space inside the car that we desperately needed for a family road trip. For some extra peace of mind, I added three bungee cords and two light lashing straps on top. Honestly, I don’t even think they were necessary—the straps that come with the bag felt secure—but with all of our luggage up there, I figured a little extra security couldn’t hurt. If you’re on the fence because you’re nervous about putting a soft cargo carrier on your roof, I was too. After actually using it, I wouldn’t hesitate to use this again. Easy, secure, tons of space, and literally saved our family vacation. 5 stars.

Too long/wide for a subaru forester. I should have measured the roof before purchasing. Nevertheless, it fit everything I needed it to. The door hook instructions weren't the most clear but regardless, I wouldn't trust them. The fit was sketchy to say the least. I doubt water would be kept from leaking into the vehicle. I decided to buy crossbars and strap it down to those. However, it remained intact for a 1000 mile journey and zero water got inside it after driving through a torential down pour for a good 3 hours at 80mph. The rain was so heavy some people were pulled off to the side to wait it out. Im suprised at how well it performed. Just wish I bought a size lower. 4 stars for the door hooks thing. I wouldn't buy this unless you have rails on your vehicle.

I’ve had 2 other bags from different brands and this one is really well done. We didn’t have roof racks so we put all 6 hooks on and it felt very secure. I had 6 luggage cases varying in size plus 2 bags and two beach chairs, I moved them around and got my desired fit and the bag was closed completely. I could have gone for the bigger size but the medium bag worked wonders. I only hit a small area of rain but it stayed dry from that so I can’t really say how waterproof it is but so far so good. The bag only shifted a minor amount after traveling 964 miles one way and then back. I didn’t use the lock yet but I attempted to fold it back up into its own traveling back, which could be a bit bigger but that’s a minor thing. Another minor thing I would mention is bugs. You will have to carefully clean the bugs off the front. If I could suggest any accessories I would say it would be nice if this bag came with a little tarp piece that covered the bag just to add some extra security from rain/snow. And maybe some shield for the front to keep bugs off. Again those are just ideas if the company ever wanted to add to these bags and that’s not a gripe at all. It’s very easy to install follow the directions but there are also many quick videos on YouTube about it. It’s quick to set up and make sure your zipper is towards the back. Also the no slick pad that came with it is really helpful . My first trip with this bag was very helpful and cleared up a lot of space for my family of 6 so im glad I bought it and will use it again. Also I got the sale on it so that made things even better for the price.

Family road trip with 6 adults in Minivan. Needed extra space. This was perfect. 3500 miles of 100 degree heat, rain, 90+mph it did good. Some things I did wrong.... secure the flaps over the zipper to keep the zippers from undoing at high speed. The carrier comes with a lock. Use that when you travel on the road, not just for security. Last hr of the trip the zipper unzipped on the side and air got into the bag at high speed and tore one of the straps off. That was on me and not the bag. Great thing is for those that would occasionally need this, it folds away and stores in a cabinet, not a massive fiberglass creature to take up space in the garage. It takes a little time to learn how to strap it down but gets easier the more you use it. If you stop every night and need to use the car after you unload, I would take it down, which adds around 10 minutes in the AM to put it back on the roof, but well worth it. Minivan I rented had no luggage racks so the clips came in handy to clip to the underside of the roof/door slide.

I packed 3 big clothes bags and a couple small items on my move from Indiana to Arizona. The strength of the bag material, zippers, and straps is great and very little readjustment was needed during the trip. It is easy to put up and take down if you dont want to leave it out at night. Everything stayed dry during the rain. Great bag, well worth it for the large amount of extra space. I used it on a Chevy SUV.

Lots of room and easy to load and fit nicely on my 2021 Outback but contents that were at the bottom of the carrier were all damp after making a 10 hour drive from Virginia to Tennessee. It rained about half the drive. It claims to be water proof but the bottom failed to be completely waterproof.

I am actually decently surprised by this bag. I just returned after a 2600 mile road trip with my family from Seattle to Southern California and back. Overall I am satisfied with this product. I got the 15 cubic feet model and strapped it to our 2012 Prius V and it was more than enough space for all our camping gear, pillows, blankets, and eventually dirty clothes bags. Durability: Only issue here was when we left to head back home, I noticed a few holes in the underside of the bag. I didn't store anything sharp in it so I am at a loss how they got there. Could have been giant desert spiders or my sister's dog. Either way, it made me think this bag is probably a one time use type thing. Weather resistance: I can't really speak to the water/weather resistance as we encountered virtually no rain during this trip except for a brief morning shower at my sister's house in the desert. Everything was dry inside after the rain. Straps: I read other reviews that said the straps needed to be tightened every hour or so at the beginning, but this was not my experience. I never felt the need to pull over and check the straps, other than at pit stops. The straps held up even though I averaged 70 mph, with a maximum speed of 80 mph for a few brief stretches. The only notable issue with the straps was after driving through a heavy side wind for about 60 miles, the straps on the side that got hit the most seemed a bit looser. Other than that, no issues with the straps. I really dislike how the hooks go under the weather stripping, which causes an annoying sound as you drive. MPG: I noticed this bag produced significant drag, reducing my average MPG from the expected 40 to 34 by the end of the trip. I've done big trips in this Prius before and the MPG has at most reduced to 38 when there's a lot of mountain passes/inclines. So it definitely had a major negative effect on the MPG. Security: The little lock that came with the bag (which would stop no one determined to get your stuff) broke instantly when I tried to set a new code, so that was out of the picture. All a thief would need to do is drive up with a pickup truck, quickly cut the straps and shove the bag in his/her truck to get your stuff. It is not very secure. One of the motels we stayed at seemed to be in a not great area so I opted to take the bag off the car and keep it in the room with us. I felt safer with it at other, nicer hotels which had lighting and cameras in the lots. Overall quality: I am impressed with this bag considering it was $60. It did the trick. However the major thing this product did for me was make me decide to the bite the bullet and get a roof rack and a large hard shell cargo carrier so the air can at least travel underneath it, reducing drag. Hard shells also seem to be way more secure.

I love this bag. It holds so much. I got the second size up for my SUV. Fits the vehicle perfectly. I used only the straps it came with and it was a great ride. Easy to load and unload. Came off the car easily and folded into the storage bag so well! Definitely worth the purchase.

Looks good, holds heaps of stuff. Survived an epic journey across Australia with no issues at all.

I used this during hunting season in November (-2 to 15 Celsius) material got a bit stiff and made the lid corners difficult to lift but that’s to be expected. It was strapped down on the front of my flat deck trailer catching all the road spray nothing inside got wet. The tiedown straps worked well on the anchor points handle the tension. Filled it with 6 rifles each in there own case. Plus hunting coats and pants for 6 people and other clothes, still had room for 3 crash helmets. I plan To buy another one
