The Bedtime Bear: A Lift-the-Flap Book Board book – November 1, 2016

This pop up book is perfect for the pre school child. Great pop ups and very cute story. My grandson loves it and looks at it every day. A WORD OF WARNING THOUGH. I BOUGHT THIS FROM A SELLER CALLED THE THE BOOK DEPOSITORY. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. CONTACTED THE SELLER ABOUT THE BOOK BEING SENT FROM THE UK WHICH WAS NOT WHAT IT SAID ON THE SELLER'S INFO AND FEEDBACK SITE. WHAT IT DID SAY WAS THAT IT WAS BEING SENT FROM DELAWARE. I BOUGHT THE BOOK BASED ON THE FACT THAT IT WAS BEING SHIPPED FROM THE US. I THEN FIND OUT AFTER MANY E MAILS THAT IT HAS BEEN SHIPPED FROM THE UK. AFTER MANY WEEKS OF WAITING THE BOOK FINALLY ARRIVED. THIS INFO HAS SINCE BEEN TAKEN OFF OF THE SELLER'S SITE. BECAUSE OF THIS THE BOOK WAS VERY LATE TO ARRIVE AND MY GRANDSON WAS VERY DISSAPPOINTED ABOUT NOT GETTING IT ON TIME. CONTACED SELLER AND RECEIVED NO CUSTOMER SERVICE INSTEAD I WAS GIVEN STUPID EXCUSES AND APOLOGIES. I THEN CONTACTED AMAZON'S CUST SVC AND THEY GAVE ME A CREDIT FOR THE AMOUNT OF THE BOOK WHICH I USED ON AMAZON TO BUY AN ADDITIONAL ITEM. READ THIS SELLER'S NEGATIVE FEEDBACK AND THEN DECIDE WHAT YOU WANT TO DO REGARDING PURCHASING FROM HIM. ADMITTEDLY HE HAS A LOT OF POSITIVE FEEDBACK, BUT THE NEGATIVE IS EXTERMELY IMPORTANT TO CONSIDER SINCE THE COMPLAINTS FROM CUSTOMERS ARE FOR THE SAME REASONS. FIRST TIME I HAD A PROBLEM WITH A MARKETPLACE SELLER. KUDOS TO AMAZON FOR GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. UNFORTUNATEY THIS SELLER GIVES AMAZON A BAD NAME SINCE AMAZON IS ALLOWING THEM TO SELL ON THEIR WEBSITE DESPITE THE SELLER'S DECEPTIVE WAY OF DOING BUSINESS. HOPEFULLY AFTER AMAZON INVESTIGATES THE CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS LISTED IN HIS FEEDBACK, THEY WILL GET RID OF HIM. DON'T BE MISLED BY ALL THE POSITIVE FEEDBACK, READ THE NEGATIVE AS WELL. I highly recommend this book but do not under any circcumstances buy it or anything else from THE BOOK DEPOSITORY.

This wonderful book was the favorite of my 2 granddaughters for years. The story is sweet & the wheels & pulltabs are fun. It was the 1st one they chose for bedtime reading every time they slept over. I bought it as a baby shower gift.

I LOVE this book, my dad read it to me as a kid. He gave me the copy to read to my daughter but my ex room mate stole the copy.So I found this, and while it’s the same book I was disappointed. Some of the pieces didn’t work properly on the pull tab. The spinning wheel for the menu at the mouse motel was not even attached. I was pretty disappointed and so was my kiddo.

Love this book. I got this for my son 20years who. I now purchased this one for my granddaughter

A great book to make memories with your child. My child is grown now, but I bought her a copy so she could enjoy the memorys with her child like I did with her

I buy this book for every new baby in the family or with friends. My kids loved it. Wish i could find it in hardback like the one i received 17 years ago for my son.

My granddaughter loves this book, so many tabs to pull and doors to open. She is 2 and a little rough on it, so things do tear, it is not plastic coated. Nothing a little tape can't fix.

Very good just what I wanted.

Unfortunately, I bought this without paying attention to the recommended age range (3-7 years), assuming that a ‘lift-the-flap’ title would be suitable for a 2 year-old. My little grandson didn’t find it appealing at all - he didn’t get the story or the jokes, and there was far too much going on in the illustrations. Plus there is only one flap on each spread, so not much for him to interact with. I shall put it away and think about bringing it out again in 18 months or so. However, I’m not sure I approve of made-up words like ‘mices’ and ‘beddy’ being used just for the sake of completing a rhyme. So maybe it will stay in the drawer.Thanks for reading my review. Loved this as it’s the pop-up book version rather than the Lift-the-flap book (my children absolutely loved it a few years ago but ours got destroyed from so much use & excitement!) - & I wanted to pass the fun onto my little Nephew.The new price was extautionate/ unavailable from anywhere, so I went for the used (good condition), and was pleasantly surprised, only 1 little tear which I was able to fix easily and 1 other little missing bit, but it won’t spoil the fun.This pop-up version has on each page something to pull, look into, turn or find.

My daughter (4) foes like this book, but it doesn't really keep her attention too much. The rhymes seem a bit weak, like they're trying too hard, and they say stuff like "beddy" instead of bed, which my daughter found irritating.It is good quality and brightly coloured, the flaps lifted without ripping, I just felt it wasn't the best one they've done.

Beautiful book. This author is a firm favourite of ours. My grand daughter who was 10 months when I bought this, happily engages with the pictures which are bright and interesting, and very witty too!, as well as lifting the flaps on the pages to reveal hidden images. Good size for small hands to independently turn the pages, she babbles away while engaging in this book. Great value for money and quick delivery as always with Amazon.

My little boy loved this book and read it every night before bed for months. He still goes back to it but as with all books like this, the popup bits are easily torn by little hands so it's looking a little tatty now. Thankfully, it was really reasonably priced and if we needed another, it'd hardly break the bank to get another one.The illustrations and colour, plus the rhyming words make this a lovely book to read as well as (I imagine) to listen to. My son gets really involved in the scroll parts (there's a food elevator where it shows different horrid food which he shouts out "how disgusting", "YUCK", "No way!" which is really funny.I'd recommend this to any parent for bedtime reading.
