OPENROAD 12000 lbs Winch with Synthetic Rope and 2 Wireless Remotes -Panther Series 3S

This was one of the best investments I’ve made in my Wrangler. Though the sticker it comes with is trash. It’s not a legit decal. The hat was nice. Installation was quick and easy. It’s very heavy. So make sure you pre-wire everything so you don’t have to adjust much during installation. Mounting only involves 4 bolts. Make sure you align the holes prior to tightening them. It’ll make things easier. Excellent quality and works great. I love the way it looks and functions.

Install was super easy! Took less than an hour with basic hand tools. Quality seems top notch and the price was extremely affordable.

Haven't had opportunity to use in real world situation, but works well, appears to be good quality, and great value compared to competition with less capacity.

I suggest you buy another brand. This winch is as slow as an eighty-year-old grandma. Before buying it, I was excited, thinking I could finally pull my car out of the mud. But in reality, it pulls slower than my neighbor walking his turtle. By the time it reels in the rope, I could’ve dug myself an escape path with a shovel.On the very first use, the brake system completely failed—the car couldn’t stop and almost rolled straight down a slope. If others hadn’t been there to help, I don’t even want to imagine the consequences.What’s worse, the motor overheated and just shut off by itself, without any warning at all. I bought a winch to feel safer, but this product actually made me feel more unsafe.”

I've had this for a while now and have used it a few times. Super value for the money and looks good too.

Bolted up super easy and everything worked as it should

Having been a certified welder and mechanic at a nuke plant for 40 yrs. I had to reinforce the winch baseplate with an additional 1/8” plate and 1” square tube in between the existing gussets to keep the baseplate from flexing under stress during winch use. I also added two 3/16” straps tying the bumper and baseplate to a truck cross member right next to the bumper. It’s very solid now!

So far this has been a great winch it has been able to help recover myself and a couple friends. I like that it comes with a synthetic rope from the factory.
