Great accessory! I’ve found my extractions to be much more consistent compared to using a WDT tool.

Espresso accessories are often gimmicky and you can't really tell the difference they're supposed to make to your final product. This is not one of those accessories. Since using the blind shaker, I've gotten some of the best espresso I've ever pulled. I still wdt after using the shaker into my portafilter, but it's less of breaking clumps and more distributing. This fits on top of your 58mm portafilter to dose straight into it. After shaking, nearly all my clumps are gone. I've gotten more even extractions than I ever have. Channeling is a thing of the past now.

Update: The seller reached out to me and is re-sending me the correct size. The cup that I have in hand is very nicely finished and high quality and I look forward to using the 58mm! Very good customer support from MHW-3BOMBER This seems like a high quality item but I was sent the wrong size. I only realized after unboxing and washing the items, now Amazon is asking me to ship it back and won't allow me to reach out to the seller for a resolution.

Enjoy it very much, except I did get the wrong size but it fits another piece of allowing the grinds to go in the portafilter! I hardly ever use the wdt tool! Easy to clean, Build quality is good, weight is good Value for the money, and the functionality works well!

More form than function. Huge problem with static. Grinds cling to the lid like mad. Also, on the walls. Lacks magnets on the bottom to attach to portafilter. Competing models in the same price range have this feature. Makes it harder to remove stuck grounds due to static since you need to balance the cup. And the worst part is that it doesn’t provide any benefit relative to any cheap WDT tool. At least, in my experience. Unfortunately, I missed the return window or it would definitely go back.

Works as it should. No issues with clumping/static/loose fit. However, it has not made workflow smoother. With the Breville integrated grinder, it’s very difficult to grind directly into this. I’ve tried holding the Breville funnel over it & using the funnel to push the grind button & help guide the grinds. I’ve also tried using a bottomless portafilter to push the grinder button while directing the grounds as I hold the shaker cup below it. None of this is easy or mess-free. Will probably be returning.

This is a great alternative to WTD and is so smooth

Pretty happy with the purchase. There’s a little retention, but nothing significant. Very fine particles tend to stick to the inner body, but most of them come out with a quick “ring the bell” tap. I tested it with the Flair Pro 3 and V60 pour-over, and I’m happy with the results. Overall, I’m very pleased with the build quality and the quality of the coffee it helps produce. The fines tend to stick around the cover. Not a deal breaker, but something to watch out for.

The blind shaker indeed has improved my espresso and pour-over experience. I don’t know anything about the science of shaking coffee grounds but now I can grind finer with my timemore s3 without making my flash brew any bitter. In terms of espresso, I can get well-rounded cups with coarser grind sizes which wasn’t able to get earlier and hand-to-grind finer which caused channeling, grinding coarser eliminated channeling but got me acidic cups. I had been using mhw-3bomber blade r3 for espresso grinding along with RDT and WDT puck prep. The only issue with the blind shaker is its retention, my S3 does not have any retention issues but even with the coarser pour-over grind size, the coffee grounds stick to the shaker with/without RDT. Espresso grinds are a nightmare, I have to use the brush supplied with the grinders to get all the coffee grounds for the brew. The taste upgrade in the cup at this price point is considerable enough to ignore the retention issues, given, that this also eliminates the need for WDT.

This is a really nicely designed and perfectly functional Shaker Cup. Love the MHW-3BOMBER line of products. Have their scale, shaker cup, bottomless portafilter, self leveling spring loaded tamper, coffee distributor. All very good quality products and would totally recommend this Shaker Cup and any other MHW-3BOMBER products. Thanks, MHW-3BOMBER
