I had used products similar to these in water therapy last yr. Since my apt complex had a pool, I decided to purchase water weights & noodles (5 Below). I have degenerated disc disease L3 & 4. A bulging L5 pressing into my sciatic nerve which is also pinched in my right hip. An X-ray just showed that I have ddd in my middle & upper spine as well with one of them bulging. I did not know that at the time I bought this set. So I am very happy that I was not using gym equipment as I could have injured myself. I was surprised by the resistance in the weights & that they helped me swim in the deep end because of how well that they floated. They were easy for me to hold & weightless out of the water making them very easy to carry in my gym bag. It was actually strenuous to push the weights down in the water for one particular exercise. I had to push them down in the water with both arms to my side. It was hard doing that 10 times. They are way more resistant than the ones I used in P.T. I liked that! I was worried about the belt fitting my large waist (44in) but it did with a little extra room & it offered great resistance as well. Walking around in the pool was way more harder with it on than without it. It did ride up a little bit at times. I saw in other reviews for many products like these that they will ride up. This also allowed me to swim in the deep end with only the belt on. I only used the leg weight for swimming with it in my hands. lol I worked out from 1/2 hr to 1 &1/2 hrs and did not feel any burning, aching, or soreness in my muscles. I felt energized, & proud of myself for finally sticking to a workout plan & sensible eating. Igained some strength in my arms & legs. I lost 10lbs in 6 weeks. I used the set for six weeks at least 3 times a week and sometimes 7 days straight. I rinsed them off after every session and they dried out extremely quickly. Water did not run out of them, just little drips. The chlorine smell rinse right out too. They still look brand new without any signs of wear & tear. These were so much fun to use & wish that I had purchased at the beginning of the summer. Next summer they can be used as well and that’s great!! The kids I met in the pool also had big fun “playing “ with these. I highly recommend.

Great set for water aerobics. I use the dumbbells more than anything else, and they add great resistance for the workout. The swim belt is good quality, but I don't see a huge difference in my workout from the belt. There's nothing wrong with it, so I didn't deduct any stars. I just don't fit it is overly useful for me. But if you specifically want a belt, this is a good one. The training pull buoy is a good quality and works well for upper arm development in the pool. I got mine at the end of the season to save a few dollars, so I only got about 6 weeks of use out of it before it got too cold for water aerobics and swimming. I can't wait for next summer to use the dumbbells and buoy again!
