My wife ordered this for her school, because their old computers do not have the right adapters to run the Smartboards. This DVI-d to DVI-i did the trick.

This is exactly what the Doctor ordered for those pesky differences in the DVI plugs. So if you have a video card with no pins above and below the long horizontal pin and your monitor cable has them you need this adapter to connect the two! Works great and a good value.

I purchased this product mainly for the gold plating and affordability. The compact size is a plus. The fitting to the dvi-d and dvi-i interfaces are good and secure so much so that I didn't bother with tightening with the attached screws.

I have a small computer with only HDMI outputs, an HDMI to DVI-I Conversion adaptor, but I needed DVI-D To connect with my monitor. This did that perfectly

Nachdem ich mir einen neuen PC aufgebaut hatte und dabei besonders darauf geachtet hatte, dass die Grafikkarte einen Dual-Link-DVI-Ausgang hat, kam die Enttäuschung, als ich den DVI-Stecker einstecken wollte. Die Grafikkarte, eine ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1080TI AMP Extreme 11GB GDDR5X 352 bit VRReady , hat eine DVI-D-Buchse, und das Kabel zum KVM-Switch hat einen DVI-I-Stecker. DVI-D-Steckverbindern fehlen im Vergleich zu DVI-I vier Pins zur Übertragung analoger Signale, und der breite Massekontakt ist etwas schmaler als bei DVI-I. Ergebnis: der Stecker vom Kabel zum KVM-Switch passt nicht. Auch aktive DisplayPort-zu-DVI-Adapter wie Club 3D CAC-1051 DisplayPort Adapter auf DVI-D, 2560x1600 60Hz, 330MHz, Stereo 3D oder Unbekannt Accell B087B-002B UltraAV Adapter Display Port auf DVI-D Dual-Link schwarz haben DVI-D-Buchsen. Das das Kabel ein Kombi-Kabel mit USB ist, wollte ich es nicht durch ein DVI-I- und ein USB-Kabel ersetzen; da kam mir dieser Adapter gerade recht, zumal er weniger kostet als die zwei Kabel. Auf die DVI-D-Buchse der Grafikkarte gesteckt, mit einem passenden Außensechskant-Schraubendreher festgeschraubt (Schlitz würde auch gehen, da die Schrauben am Adapter geschlitzt sind), Kabel eingesteckt und verschraubt, fertig. 2560x1440 bei 60 Hz funktioniert ohne Probleme über den KVM-Switch. Es gibt noch andere Ausführungen solcher Adapter, aber dieser ist schön kurz, so dass man für den Stecker kaum mehr Platz braucht als für einen DVI-D-Stecker direkt in der Buchse.

I recently upgraded to an ASUS RX-550, and encountered the problem where it was DVD-D on both outputs - no more DVD-I (and hence no more VGA compatibility). As I need to use this system shared via a DVD-I KVM, it was a shock to learn that DVD-I cables have a slightly larger blade and don't fit DVD-D sockets. This adapter compactly and inexpensively does the trick - allowing me to adapt my setup and work with the new video card.
