Hi Thank you for your question. Yes this clock does have a plug as it is mains powered. Kind regards Stephanie - Travelwey Customer Service.

Thankyou..... if I unplug it sometimes then plug it back in will it remember what time it is as the batterys take over when not plugged in?

Short answer - yes. As long as there are a couple of dry batteries fitted in the clock, it will remember the correct time when disconnected from the mains supply - until the batteries run out.

How loud is the alarm sound

You can change the sound level to your needs. You can have it quite faint to very loud. Great idea.

sound quality - good or bad? No-one has mentioned this!!

I'm not sure what you are expecting as regards sound quality? There is no radio or music player, the only sound is the alarm tone. It is high pitched - just right for getting your attention - but can be loud or quiet sound. The quiet setting is fine for me, loud is loud!!
