I got tired of paying $20 (plus tip) for a basic men’s haircut, so I decided to give these clippers a try—and I’m glad I did. I used them the same day they arrived and was pleasantly surprised at how well my haircut turned out. I started with the highest guard and worked my way down to a #6, just to get a feel for them. Before this, I was using trimmers without guards, so I had to be really careful not to take off too much and end up with an uneven cut. These made the process much easier and more controlled. I took my time, and the results came out even all around. They’re also quiet while running and a good size for handling your own haircut, which made things more comfortable. I used to keep my hair short in the military—not super tight like a Marine, but neat and clean—and this got me right back to that look without feeling like I had a mop on top. Even if these only lasted a few cuts (which I doubt), I’d still feel like I got my money’s worth. The clippers come in a hard case, and everything fits inside nicely. The only downside is that the pieces are a bit loose in the case, so if you plan to travel with it, you may want to add some padding to keep everything in place.

Ive had these clippers for 2 months now, i cut my own hair and i use them to clip my dogs fur. I really like how easy it is to use and clip on/off different guards. Especially with having my dog, i regularly shave out her pawpads as it mats easy. this is a hard area to shave as theres a lot of folds and i usually end up knicking her once or twice. I started out with the shortest guard (1/2) but even without the guards i dont knick her with the blade. Only issue i have had so far is the blade. and its more of a design issue and user fault. after the last pawpad trim i did on my dog i noticed a lot of hair trapped under the blade. i thought no worries ill just clean it out. i took the blade apart and put it back and it started grinding. i noticed some other reviews that had this issue. it was very loud and wouldnt cut and i was worried the grinding would damage the blades. it was only after watching a disassembly/reassembly video that i realized i missed a step when putting it back together. it doesnt seem like the blade is meant to be put back that way (spring part on the smaller blade overlaps the top of the bigger blade, i had to get a flathead to get the spring to get on there) however after i did that, it worked again!! so i would say that the blade maintenance is a little more intense for someone whos just using this for personal use and isnt a professional but i recommend to actually watch a video on how to clean it before attempting or you might worry you broke your brand new clippers. Assembly of the blade is not the easiest in the world but is is doable. thats the only reason i took a star off. other than that these clippers work great and cut well. i also feel a lot more comfortable using them on my dogs feet than i did with my previous pair

I've used an earlier model from the same manufacturer with a similar design. My old one was heavier than this and it had no battery system. That unit is still going strong even after over a decade of usage. It was time, I felt, to get a new one. (Also, I found out my father was using it and he's icky, so I let him keep my old one.) This unit is superior to the one I got for 20$ back in 2009. This item is solid and well made. Its clip options leave no need for anything more. If you keep your hair short in some places and longer in others or need help taming facial hair or other places that you let the hedges grow, this is a good item to have in your arsenal. It is easy to keep clean. It is easy to store. The wire feels a bit flimsy but I can already tell this unit will last me and my needs for an easy ten years. The battery in it is a bonus but it does not last as long and when the battery reaches about 10% power your hair will get caught in the blades so just keep it plugged in. I use this unit just like my old one, plugged in. It is strong enough to take care of my thick hair. I can't really express to you how much money I have saved by never going for a haircut since 2009. If you are starting out on cutting other people's hair, this would be a cheap option to get started in that field but I am not sure how long the unit would last if you used it for several hours every single day for years. This unit is made more cheaply than the old one I have that still runs like-new, but again, if this lasts me ten years, I'll be happy.

Purchased these hair clippers 2 months after they officially declared the Covid pandemic, and the battery died out on me approximately 4 years later, I cried when I had to finally discard them, I learned how to cut my own hair with them, and I've been cutting my own hair ever since, they paid for themselves at least 10 or 15 times over, and the blades were still sharp when I discarded them, I found them to be perfect in every respect except for the battery longevity, I could still be using them if I wanted to attach a short extension cord, and use them like a corded set of clippers, instead of that I went on ahead and bought a new set of Wahl corded clippers, and they too, are very high quality, I highly recommend these clippers, and would absolutely buy another set of them.

I've been cutting my hair for years using a Wahl corded set of clippers. They were good and I typically didn't have any problems with them. Unfortunately, the cord was very annoying. I read reviews and some complained about these not being powerful as well as some other concerns. I was surprised and really happy with them after using them though. No problems buzzing through my hair. I did oil the trimmers before using them though. They're much quieter than the corded ones, which I love. Attachments are about the same. The only thing I miss is the adjustable depth lever on my old corded Wahl clippers which helped a little with blending. I just use a different approach now and I don't have issues. That's a small inconvenience compared to how nice, light, and powerful these are. Hoping they last a long time.

I don't often write reviews but these clippers are awesome. Have been using regularly for haircuts for 3 years and still work perfectly. Comes with every attachment you could need, battery life is great and blades stay sharp. Only minor nit is that it comes with a tiny vial of lubricating oil which has a tendency to leak once opened - keep the vial in a ziplock bag. Otherwise worth every penny.

It doesn't cut beard, it will rip off hair if used for beard. But it is good for hair
