Note that this isn't a lipstick or a lip gloss: it's a lip stain. I like using lip stain because I can layer something (or nothing) over the top of it to create whatever finish I want, and I know the colour itself won't budge. This is particularly useful for an evening out, when I can wear lipstick over the top of a lip stain and know that even if the lipstick wears off during a meal, there is still colour underneath. During the day, I can apply lipbalm over the top of it if I want a sleeker finish, but even by itself, this shade looks great - a deep colour, but with a fairly natural appearance on my lips because it doesn't conceal my natural lip texture.I applied this as I usually would, by applying a careful layer, waiting 30 seconds or so, and then blotting it off with a tissue to leave just the colour behind. Once blotted, there's no stickiness, no residue, no build-up, and it lasted all day, even after washing my face with my normal cleanser. Removing it required some effort (and a proper make-up cleanser), which is exactly the staying power I want from a lip stain. I'm delighted and would happily buy again.

I’m a big fan of Maybelline lip products and I own a lot of the Superstay range already, especially the ink ones, so I was really curious to see how the Teddy Tint would compare.First impression is that the texture is different, given that it's a lip stain. It does feel a bit stickier when you first apply it, more so than the classic Superstay inks, but it also glides on very smoothly and feels lighter on the lips. I actually find I need to be a bit more generous with application, as the colour is more subtle at first, but once you do that it shows up beautifully.After it dries, it stays put really well, not quite as bulletproof as the original Superstay inks, but still very impressive. What I really like is the finish. My lips look softer and a bit plumper, with a slight sheen rather than a flat matte. The colour itself is very natural and easy to wear, one of those shades that just works without looking overdone.The shade I chose is Current Mood, and it’s exactly the kind of natural tone I reach for every day.My tip would be to apply a slightly thicker layer than you think you need and give it a minute to fully dry before touching your lips together. Once it sets, it looks much better and lasts longer.If you already like Maybelline lipsticks and want something a bit softer and more natural looking than the classic Superstay, this is definitely worth trying. All time favourite lipstick.

I was excited to buy this and loved the colours. Had a big evening out and was looking forward to using it. I made sure I followed the instructions (applied and waited for much longer than suggested which was 15 minutes).This felt awful on my lips. I prefer lip tints as they’re usually less sticky or greasy on my lips as I don’t like that. This feels like a gloss from 10 years ago. Very sticky and uncomfortable. You can literally see my lips peel apart because of the texture. And it wasn’t transfer proof either, I could see it in the side of my glass after an hour of applying it.This is just an overpriced lipgloss. There are lots of lip stains out there that actually do the job, but this isn’t one of them.You also can’t get a refund, so it was a total waste of money, because it’s gone in the bin.

A very nice colour however the tint is very dry feeling on the lips when used alone. I find it works best when i apply a lip butter balm underneath and then the tint on top. However, this does defeat the purpose of the product to be a tint on the lips since it removes easily with the lip balm. The colour itself is good, however as someone who has some darkness on the edges of their lips i find that the tint doesn’t cover the pigment there very well. Decent product but probably wouldn’t purchase again.

Lovely colour, Great Price, Once put on stays (lasts longer than expected) more than six hours. A lip gloss that is not an irratant and messy. Has a delicate scent and doesnt smell. Has the best quality texture with out a sticky feeling.
