very nice
These sausage casings are incredibly thin, and the sausages made with them turned out excellent! 👍👍

Fragile, flimsy, unreliable waste of money
I needed to make a batch of black pudding, something I haven't done for about twelve years. So I dug out and cleaned up my hand stuffer and found one American-mede casing that had been packed in salt and stored at the back of the fridge for twelve years. That casing was fine, and, two days ago I started stuffing the batch of black pudding filling. But I didn't get it finished before the casing ran out, so I got on Amazon and ordered this casing to finish the job. The casing arrived yesterday so I resumed the stuffing. I first noticed at least two breaks in the casing when mounting it on the horn. During the process, every single sausage broke, and, on the first pass, two thirds of the stuffing had to be salvaged from broken sausages and put back in the horn. When I twisted the few that were big enough to twist, the sausages untwisted and had to be tied off. More filling was lost through breaks in the sausages than ended up in the sausages. I lost about a quarter of the filling through wastage, and the salvaged sausages were too messy to vacuum pack, because they had very staining filling all over the outside. These are the worst casings I ever encountered, and my sausage making afternoon was a nightmare. Also the filling was handled a lot more than I like from a hygiene POV. These made-in-China casings are a complete waste of money and will be a disaster in your sausage making. Get a quality US made casing instead, the extra couple of bucks will be well spent.
